some people with mental illness have a problem with personal space and it varies from culture to culture.
A co-worker and good friend of mine was in an elevator with a fellow who was extremely ill and acting out. He kept shouting at her to "get out of his space" - it felt closed in and kept pushing her into the wall...... needless to say she got out on the next floor -
It is an individual preference, I think.
And sometimes doesn't it mean when someone says that - they are being polite for I don't want to be around you anymore, but I might in the future, or not....
so I get lots of email from all over USA - and only a few from Scotland. ... real fellows from Scotland. Now I just have to get over there..... too bad I don't have enough gumption to invite a nice highlander here to miami sight unseen.
Migsy you so funny! You are turning into one of my favorite standup comedian ... we might have to chip in and get you a new computer so you can Skype....
point well taken - it is becoming a serious problem on this site and turning off a lot of single people looking to meet, date and fall in love.
What can we expect of a free site? I understand my friend reported to the moderators a fellow that was using 2 contact number on this site out of Texas and it was the same guy and when she called his number...... guess what..... possible scam (he didn't get to the level of asking money) the numbers provided were not true ....
Skype is not a final answer to prevent scammer - although it is a good one....
However, when scammers are reported how long should it take to boot the plaggart off! we're waiting, and waiting and waiting.
a large variety of quick growing fruit and vegetable seeds in a garden (appears to be tropical so those that grow there), a tool kit full with hammers, saw, machete etc and nails and a lots of tarps (coverings- materials for roofing and fish nets.
.... trat! I need a forth thing... a nice man with a Scottish accent.
- however, as much as I am a fan of gun control - each military person no matter what - is an independent and free American (in your scenerio) and therefore as a consenting adult taking away what belongs to them is wrong. You can try and shut the barn door after the horse has bolted all you want. This horse has bolted.
I think we should have legislators in NY considering ways to balance the budget and provide more services to the people with their tax dollars - I think legislators in NY should consider making ways to ensure gender equality - to provide ways for health care to be more accessible and affordable - to ensure fresh drinking water, to repair the state's infrastructure, create more job opportunities -
to STOP wasting their time on topics that politically will help them get elected next time instead of doing good in their communities. .....
from what I read - and from my experience in working in the criminal justice system for a few of my early years - it can and does happen -
the scenario - person gets booked in jail - system creates a date defendnt is to appear in court - gets assigned a lawyer or hires one. He gets put into isolation perhaps on suicide watch. He should still have hearings, doctors see him, so does the correction staff - he has to be accounted for, several times a day...... somehow, he does not get a future date set for the courts.... and I don't know what happened in the initial court hearing to set bond.... this is where the department lost control and perhaps why they are now apologizing and were penalized with the $15 million - because it was an egregious mistake.
From the news I have been reading - he has a lot to worry about - his health - also as is usual the department will appeal to lower the amount - which is usual in these cases.
I am told there is this great restaurant in Key West, Florida..... that clothing is optional.... never went... however I know a few nice looking women that have had dinner there......
Ya, never know.... I might try it. Hope I don't give the other dinning patrons indigestion....
our work environment means a lot to us - the more control we have over our work product the happier we.... err I mean.... I am. We spend more than 8 hours a day with other employees - so it is important to learn to get along.
I have been extremely lucky to work with a group of people, from diverse backgrounds and we have become a family. unfortunately my commute - over 2 hours in traffic every day - is a hardship.....
