RE: Why do people complicate things?

Agreed! and also you will find out pretty quickly if the person is hiding or how much time they choose to invest in spending time with you and also how that time is spent...you know, like, do they show interest in your life, do they seem to be keeping a lot of secrets and also the same for ourselves (just like the mirror) .... stuff like that.

Would you possibly consider extending the area in southern direction till maybe you ran into a warmer (much warmer) climate... maybe somewhere below the Northern border of California? Just a idea.

RE: Hypothetical situation

I think that even if it was a "safe" place I would still here remain as I feel I have unfinished business that is important to me.... If this was not the case I may have said "I would take the adventure" A similar question was asked many years ago at a seminar that was "If you were invited on a 2 week trip to an exotic vacation all paid and leaving in a day (maybe two), would you be able to go? A lot of people could not because of lifestyle and commitments, Bills and other responsibilities. So, on that one I was ready to jump on the plane for many years though in the last few I have not though I do have my Passport all ready and I think I need that break in the day to day rainy world any time now. lol ;-}

RE: Do u want to get married ?

I used to. In fact I met a woman here that I was married to for a very long year. I would still be married to her except she was still looking and now 6 years later I just don't seem to see things the way I did. But one thing I know is that no matter what age or mindset you may be in there is that possibility that everything can suddenly change.

RE: Exstra tipping at Christmas time..................

I saw this post and just had to say that I have had many situations as a Barber/HairStylist but I have had some of the most wonderful clients over the years and even presently though I don't spend as much time behind the chair I still have clients that treat me better than I can say. I think a lot of it is the fact I go out of my way always to make them look and feel their best. thumbs up

RE: Where's Pat

I hope they didn't get on the train. I noticed that lately there have been a lot of clever advertisements for tickets to ride some train to the North Pole. I am pretty sure that once these people get on that train they are lost for good...or at least a long time unless they can "jump" really far so they don't lose a limb or get sucked into the furnace! moping

RE: Imagine - 2 People - Fall in Love on cs - R Broke - Will u contribute for them to Meet in Real Life?

It is often not so visible either. I know that it happened quite awhile back and I had traveled twice across the ocean with this wonderful new beginning. But people can get jealous and even whisper falsities into the ears of the one you have suddenly found smiling back at you. One day you get a text from 5000 miles away and you feel the bottom fall out from your feet. It is quite sad when these things happen, especially when built on pure deception. But we must stay positive. Otherwise you are at the mercy of the downers.

RE: Imagine - 2 People - Fall in Love on cs - R Broke - Will u contribute for them to Meet in Real Life?

I think it is a success for all when a connection is made and continues on for a long time if not forever. But I also think that if there is a couple or potential couple that are far away from each other that even if a person or a group of people paid for them to meet then how will they get the funds to make it happen again? And of course in many if not most cases the couple will have to show the government that they can support themselves for one of them to move to the new Country and so on. Now as mentioned earlier that if it was meant to be then they will find a way.. This may be very true. But for those reasons I guess I would not feel comfortable buying a ticket for someone to meet another. Now on the other hand if I was crazy rich there might be some moment i would feel different, but that just is not the case. I can also say with confidence and honesty that for the most part I did find a way to explore what I truly believed was going to be a real a true Love between myself and another that I had met here and before I was here as well. This was years ago and I really thought we were going to spend the rest of our lives together. Well, it didn't happen, but it was not for the lack of trying and putting everything I thought I could to be not only reasonable but also optimistic and even forgiving some actions that others might not have. In the end I found that I was alone, what's more is that for the last 5 years I became even more removed.... people, family, friends, many died without notice and though all this is true I still take time to sing and play a happy song. I know that the future is not always what we might have thought. I know this is a bit of a long post but you never know, sometimes people make flash judgements about each of us and never get a chance to meet or really talk to the real person behind the computer or smartphone. I hope for each of us that we come out of here each day with a little bit of hope or at least a feeling of being part of something that is not hateful and that even with the conflicts there is a stronger truth that might break the awful thought that many have just given up. Maybe as we open our minds to a better future we might just become more attractive to someone that we didn't even notice. i know it can happen, it has and it will again most likely..... and the thing is that is when like a magic these things just fall into place.

RE: Knowing what you want

Well, I can only speak for what I have seen and those couples don't usually ask for permission and hardly would listen to advice of others. But as to why so many I would say this exact reason is likely one of them, also lack of communication and the absence of trust. Or even worse is when one of the couple is deceiving the other from the very beginning. When that is the case it can go beyond devastation and even yesterday I met a young man that just lost his father to cancer and also found out his wife was one of these that deceived him from the beginning (and now long gone). He is not well. My nephew had brought him to dinner because being worried his friend may be suicidal. Of course this can happen to either of a couple, deception is not known to one gender exclusively.

RE: Knowing what you want

Like maybe they knew each other really well and then got lost in the current trends. It could be I suppose, but I think a lot of people don't get to know each other as much as they think.

RE: Knowing what you want

Probably they married without getting to know one another in the spiritual, emotional and more intellectual ways.

RE: who can answer this.....??????

Yeah, not sure which experience you had but likely several. I think there will be some that will relate because they have been in the same position. "Some", are knowledgeable but only because they not only do the biting but are very much aware of it.
Have you ever walked down the sidewalk when it is pretty busy? You notice how some people seem to walk unencumbered and even in crowded situation seem to just walk through with no resistance? OK , then of course there are some that no matter what they seem to have someone bump into them with a shoulder or even sometimes a full body block. So because at that time I was interested in this I chose to try something out. I chose to walk up the sidewalk while it was busy but I would be very busy looking at my phone (which of course today is very common anyway),, I did this to see if people might be courteous and move out of the way as I also did not just take up much room and stayed to one side. Well, it did not matter. in fact people seemed to be even more aggressive. But what makes this experience kind of interesting was at the end after I walked a few blocks and turned to go back to the salon, kind of thinking about how things went. A man turned to me with a bit of a smile and full eye contact and said to me "So did it turn out how you expected?" I was admittedly a bit taken off guard but just looked back in a false surprise and continued walking back. It was as if he knew exactly what was going on in my mind though I do not think it is the case, it did in fact surprise me. That was in the early 90's.

RE: David Cassidy dies,

I was surprised when I read he was having physical issues. I was one that watched him and others on the TV back in the day. My hair and clothes looked a lot like what he wore at the time. lol. It was very sad when a few days later (yesterday) while talking with my Uncle I saw he had died. This last 2 years has been a big toll taken on the Music World. RIP David Cassidy.

RE: CHARLES MANSON DIES BEHIND BARS.

Thank You Redex, I know it was a bit wordy but I wanted to get a certain amount consolidated without being too fragmented. I had no idea he had died as I do not follow him or really anyone these days. But on my way home I was listening to a radio program and they were discussing him with some people calling in and so forth. So when I saw the thread I guess I responded as though I had called into and spoke on the radio program... cool

RE: CHARLES MANSON DIES BEHIND BARS.

Even while in jail and even after death it is sad (sad that the damage he caused and still a nemesis to far too many living today) but the manipulations and the brains he washed both close by (as in his presence at the time) and from afar (effecting even high ranking politicians and rich and/or celebrity type individuals) and many that took on his ideals will live on and be a remnant of a criminal that was incarcerated while many that are just as lethal that live on will one day be buried with full honors and indeed just as evil, active and manipulatory as Manson. As for the role of being from the gutter and raised by the state or similar profile who is to say that in the current climate of multitudes of people down trodden and living on the street and with no direction would it be remotely surprising if another filled the same shoes and role that Manson did in his prime and lead those that feel they have no future? If no one noticed there are more and more people so lost that they are committing suicide to the point that it is not even allowed on the news because they do not want to "stir" the masses. I know that yesterday another took their life and it happens a lot. Many simply jump into the cold dark waters from one of the many bridges and some just open a window and force the police to quickly mark it all off yet no word of it is spoken on the news.. not except for a few exceptions. Anyway, sadly he did get into a lot of peoples head. Some as a person to follow, some as a mentor to emulate. Seems like it is a good time for some real life "super heroes". And by the way, it is possible that carrying out his immediate execution could have made a martyr out of him and given him more of what he wanted. As for the people that seem "lost", well, hopefully they will not fall in line with anyone that attempts to pull off what Manson did or something worse.

RE: What Are You Reading

Walt Whitman's "Leaves of Grass", Actually i was only able to read a few poems before I decided it would be a nice present for one of my sisters. But now I am going to keep my eyes open for anther copy, there is a used book store not far that is just how I like it. Owned by a local couple, not too tidy, and you never know what you might find. Oh! and there are always lots of new material coming in.

Profiles and the "real world"

Well, ignore the "Real World" bit as I don;t think we know what that is anymore... But why do I seem to see those red flags being thrown onto the field when I read "God fearing Woman" or even sentences that ring out as though they are not even understood by the author?
