I used to. In fact I met a woman here that I was married to for a very long year. I would still be married to her except she was still looking and now 6 years later I just don't seem to see things the way I did. But one thing I know is that no matter what age or mindset you may be in there is that possibility that everything can suddenly change.

I think it depends on the person, whether u will consider marriage, at all, or just living together.
Whether suddenly changing, it is a very important decision, that really can't be very sudden ?

Dragos1: yes, of course it is a very serious decision to get married. But to have a sudden change in life had nothing to do with my opinion on marriage. That was an observation of how things can seem hopeless or drag on forever and then in a moment there is that sudden change in your life. Maybe that will make more sense in the reading of.
I now get what ur getting at and yes its quite common depending on whether u make quick or extensive decisions.

galrads: If it’s 50/50 Out, then it would have to be 50/50 In for me. And everything aquired, excluding gifts, would have to be 50/50 wouldn’t it? Sounds good to me!
I'll answer and say what my Aunt had said to my mother when they were discussing of whether or not they would remarry."My Aunt said that she wouldn't get married again even if the man had diamonds in his butt.
I used to run away from any woman that used the "M" word more than once. But that was BECAUSE I've seen enough marriages that WEREN'T working. Usually because NEITHER party was living up to the RESPONSIBILITIES inherent in the word "Marriage". And I doubted that "I" was ready for THAT type of "commitment".
Nowadays, I don't run so fast. And most of the women I deal with are more "mature" (and I DON'T necessarily mean "in age"). So, IF one of those asks me, I'd consider it. It would depend on several things. #1. of which would be our ability to talk, openly and honestly, with each other. #2. of which would be that I'd have to know her WELL ENOUGH to actually "LIKE" her. #3. Would be that she'd have to be strong enough to A. NOT let herself get runover by ME! B. Be able to TOLERATE me, as demonstrated over A PERIOD of time!

Those responsibilities apply to any commitment surely.
Sologamy is marriage by a person to oneself. Supporters of the practice argue that it affirms one's own value and leads to a happier life.
An alternative term is self-marriage, but this may also refer to a self-uniting marriage, that is a marriage without an officiant.
Ceremonies
Ceremonies may take almost exactly the same form as that of a regular marriage, including guests, cake, and a reception. Some self-marrying programs include giving guidance, practice, and support prior to the marriage.
Self-marriage has become increasingly popular in the 21st century, especially among affluent women. As of 2014 a travel agency in Kyoto was offering self-marriage packages for women, with some customers being wives who were disattisfied with their original wedding. British photographer Grace Gelder's self-marriage in 2014 and Italian fitness trainer Laura Mesi's self-marriage in 2017 have been widely reported.
I'd do what our elites and sub-elites do and marry themselves. This is not the pinnacle of decadence and narcissistic insanity. That's the last thing it is although I do detect the smell of burning Rome.
