Well, I change mine a lot, but sometimes they do get mysteriously changed back to pictures of me! Wouldn't want to get anyone in trouble. Like you say...it would only be for 24 hours. I can't see the harm in that 
Oh well...it was just an idea. No worries.
Doesn't look as though anyone is interested though. When I suggested it last year, it was just me and few friends that did it.
Well the RSPB will certainly be interested in your results anyway!!!

robins are HUGELY territorial and I have ONLY ever seen two in any one place together, and they are always chasing each other and fighting! Usually it is only 1 robin per garden (or at least, that's what they want!)
I was hoping you would take that jet over here and come and bring me some of your sunshine!

Alternative Photo Day on 1st of the Month
Well, I change my photos pretty often anyway (get fed up with looking at my mug!) and I know a lot of people that do it as well. The idea behind a certain day and a certain theme was just to bring people together and make it a fun thing for everyone to do. The sillier the better! ... Doesn't look like it going to take off anyway.
