Yep...that one was one of the first to be put on I think venus. Have a look at the first few pages. This is a pretty old thread now! Car songs are so great, that maybe we should just ignore what's been posted before, and just start again!!
Following on from the success of the "Car" and "College/School" related songs, here's another themed one. Please don't forget to include the title and singer
And first up is the great lady herself, Big Mama Thornton. In 1952 she was the first person ever to record "Hound Dog"
Just to remind everyone, that it is the RSPB'S Big Garden Birdwatch on the weekend of 29th and 30th January 2011.
It is really easy and fun to take part...all you have to do is watch birds in your garden or your local park for 1 hour over this weekend, and jot down the highest number of species you see at any one time. The following link is a direct link to the RSPB site where you can print off a Big Garden Birdwatch counting sheet, or if you request one, they will send you one. You then submit your results on the same website.
PLEASE REMEMBER THAT IT IS NOT THE TOTAL AMOUNT OF SPECIES THAT YOU SEE....IT IS THE HIGHEST NUMBER AT ONE TIME THAT YOU SEE
eg. if you see 2 blackbirds, then make a note of 2 blackbirds
but if you then see another 3 blackbirds 10 minutes later, you DON'T add them to the first 2. Your total number of blackbirds would be the maximum number you saw at one time ie. 3
It is quite interesting to have a look at the birds counted in your county on this site. If I had remembered to take part last January there would no doubt have been a Great Spotted Woodpecker on the list for Perth & Kinross, but as it was, nobody else had recorded one.
Wow! Wish I could get a massage like that! You're so lucky! You can pay for them privately over here, but they are rediculously expensive, so I've never had one.

I take it you already know Of tough and bough and cough and dough? Others may stumble, but not you, On hiccough, thorough, lough and through? Well done! And now you wish, perhaps, To learn of less familiar traps? Beware of heard, a dreadful word That looks like beard and sounds like bird, And dead: it's said like bed, not bead - For goodness sake don't call it deed! Watch out for meat and great and threat (They rhyme with suite and straight and debt)
A moth is not a moth in mother, Nor both in bother, broth in brother, And here is not a match for there Nor dear and fear for bear and pear, And then there's dose and rose and lose - Just look them up - and goose and choose, And cork and work and card and ward, And font and front and word and sword, And do and go and thwart and cart - Come, come, I've hardly made a start! A dreadful language? Man alive! I'd mastered it when I was five!
Yep...that has happened to us all. I will copy and paste this thread to the moderators and see if they respond. In my humble opinion, this is one of the best friendship/dating sites on the web, so the more interesting we can make it, the more successful it will be, hopefully!
Hi everyone Have been away in the grips of a migraine, but have just come back on and read all your posts....most of them seem to support the idea of a Alternative Photo Day once a month. It will just be up the moderators now to read this and decide what they think.
I agree totally, that CS is whatever we want it to be. It's up to us to make it interesting.
Many of us on here get bored with looking at the same old mug shots and we do swap and change our photos around for a bit of variety, and I know that spur of the moment topics crop up and folks change their photos temporarily for a bit of a laugh, but CS is so huge, that most people would never find those particular forums, or may not feel that the subject matter is something that they are interested in.
If this idea of an alternative photo day is to work, and be able to involve everyone (if they so wish) on CS, then it would have to be announced by the moderators.
"Dog" Related Songs
The Barron Knights - "The Sit Song"had never heard that one before, but do remember Barbara Woodhouse!!!
