I haven't had the chance to read all the posts on this thread, but I find it a bit annoying when a guy keeps pestering with mails and flowers, even though you have been polite enough to say "thank you - but we are not a match" or just to have sent a wee flower and wish him the best in finding a special lady for himself. Surely that is a good hint, that you are being friendly and polite, but that you are not interested in romance!
The guys that I know better than anyone on here, are just people that are friendly....not pressurising. I know some of them quite well, and if it weren't for the huge distances involved, would be really happy to meet up with them. Some people are just too intense, and sometimes for no reason other than that you have said the odd kind word to them on a forum, or even if you've viewed their profile! It really scares me off!
Yes....I am afraid too...but arn't we all?? It's a scary thing to try and start again, especially if you have been on the other end of a lot of lies!
I think, as others have said, just take your time. There is no rush, and you are not desperate. The best relationships come from the best friendships, afterall, and good friendships take time!
It seems a shame that Buddy Holly's car is just sitting there, gradually rusting away ...it needs lots of TLC and needs to be loved and driven again (in my humble opinion ) Bit of a shame
about as sad as me videoing the shipping forecast and the gales battering the windows!!
Lovely tune...I haven't ever heard it. We always listened to the daytime version. There is something very evocative about the shipping forecast - I can't put my finger on it really. I guess, I have just always been interested in the weather forecast (being an ex-cyclist/hillwalker etc) plus my love of the sea and the islands It also conjours up a kind of nostalgia for me.
Lovely font colour there, May Watch out though....Freud's about and he'll no doubt start his analysis of you very soon!
Love the ol' shipping forecast style there H Have had to resort to listening to that on a few of the Scottish island holidays, when the cottage doesn't have a tv for a forecast. Like the saddo I am, I remember videoing the sound of the shipping forecast being made for Tiree. That particular destination was handy as it has it's own shipping forecast area!! As the rain and gales battered the windows, the shipping forecast told us that Tiree was currently: Gale Force 10!!!!
The electric boiler blew up in the old cottage, and we had no hot water for a week, and the engineer who was supposed to sail out from Oban on one of the Calmac ferries, couldn't come, cause they had stopped running! (which is pretty rare for a Calmac ferry!) Had an absolutely brilliant holiday though, despite the weather!!
I just like a bit of colour in my life! and I was the youngest of only two...for your information! I know I am sounding obsessive about this colour thing, but I was so shocked that people couldn't read the font! I had no idea! Just trying now for a compromise
RE: Do you men get put off if you are pursued too much by a woman?
