My first impression of a mom and pop pressuring washing company was favorable last year when I had them clean my driveway and sidewalk. But, twice now I've made appointments with the same guy and been stood-up. Fool me once...yada..yada...etc. Moving on to a Yelp or Angie's list rated professional. Chit needs getting done and I'm tired of waiting.

Not sure why, but every time I get on here, I'm reminded of a joke that goes like this.

As a man walks by an insane asylum he hears the inmates gleefully shouting "21! 21! 21". Curious as to why they're shouting, he walks closer to the wall surrounding the institution and he spots a hole in the bricks which he approaches so he can peek in and see what's going on. The inmates poke a stick through the hole, poking him in the eye, and yell "22! 22! 22!"

The kindness and love of family is the example that enables you to extend those qualities to people who aren't your immediate tribe. It's the volunteers working disasters, moving supplies to the needy, feeding the poor, picking up an elderly person's grocery bill at the register. It's telling someone they have a beautiful smile. Having a generous heart allows us to embrace the rest of our family, Humankind.

Went to NC last weekend. Niece and fiance got married at their new home. Aunts (my late wife's sisters) were in from NY and NJ along with cousins. Catching up with the sis-in-laws was fun. It was hectic. loud, busy, and the food was amazing. First road trip in 2 years and to be honest, it felt good.

I'm sure everyone loved it. The first homemade cake I tried on my own had the same problems, I iced it to soon and it slid right off. My Dad called it the earthquake cake. It did have a little earthquake crack on the top. (icing covered it well)
