Perhaps the most common question women ask to begin chatting here....

... "how long have you been on this site?" I don't get it, although I have my thoughts. Just why start with this? What does it show about the person, if anything? Aren't there more pressing things to ask about? I have begun to avoid such chats.

I'm guilty as I've asked that question but it certainly wasn't at the beginning of my question list. I'm more apt to ask if they are in a current relationship or ever been to jail. Those answers are more important to me first.
I would say asking someone how long they have been on site is a relevant question, afterall, if the person has been on site a long time, perhaps they are un-datable, worth knowing before spending time and effort that is likely to go nowhere.
That question is still better than they telling you - *get a life. laugh
