Longevity....really only a life bargain when combined with great health....

...now we believe we have much of that which underlies it as well understood. Physical activity, sparse food intake and some fasting, plenty of good water, moderation as to toxins like smoke and drink, good genetic foundations, decreasing carnal knowledge -as age appropriate, to each her own spirituality, and a sense of gratitude and forgiveness. But perhaps somewhat oddly, lots of positive social/family interaction. But I suspect these scientist are missing a thing or two here.

dunno confused maybe a beer or too to lighten up from time to time.

All luck of the draw I guess a bus could knock me down tomorrow regardless of good health life I lead grin
Moderation and genetics quite possibly. Remember the running guru Jim Fix? Dropped dead at 52 while being overly obsessed doing his thing. Turns out he had signs of a heart condition he ignored. Then you have the 114 year old woman who smoked One cigar every day and had her one shot of whiskey before bed.
Right, you two. Euell Gibbons, nut and twig crunching TV environMENTALIst and animal lover, died quite early. Lots of similar seemingly contradictory cases, in both directions.
Eating healthy and drinking enough water is to enhance quality of life. Nothing can really guarantee your life on earth.heart beating
One's longevity or lack thereof is almost exclusively due to good or bad genes. blues
I don't think of longevity. I want to die while I'm healthy and able bodied than sick and a burden to someone.

But I think most of all and most important thing is not eating for greed. I eat what my body needs. I don't even eat three meals. ( who said we have to) I don't listen to my stomach but my body.

V, water. Yes most important thing is water. And keeping yourself active.

The best way to avoid death is to not have too great an aversion to it.
