Rod Blagojevich: ‘I’m A Trumpocrat’

Former Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich expressed his gratitude to President Donald Trump for commuting his 14-year prison sentence on Tuesday, declaring himself a “Trumpocrat.”

“He’s got obviously a big fan in me, if you’re asking me what my party affiliation is, I’m a Trumpocrat,” Blagojevich said to reporters in the Denver airport after he was released.

Sometimes prison sentences don't match the crime. Some get off with more leniency in the court of law, while others are given more of an harsher prison term. Trump commuted sentences (In law, a commutation is the substitution of a lesser penalty for that given after a conviction for a crime. The penalty can be lessened in severity, in duration, or both.) because he thought the harsher sentences didn't match the crime.

Look - I'm not a fan of Blagojevich but I do believe his sentence was excessive. There are others here in Chicago that were caught, not on the same charges but similar, that actually received hundreds of thousands of dollars and their sentences were something like 15 months and because they were married and had children they were allowed to do their time separately so one family member could be home with the kids.
So not a fan but I do think commuting his sentence was fair. I don't think he should have been pardoned.

Just my opinion from probably one of the most corrupt cities / state in the country frustrated

The sooner Trump is "Drained" the better.
