Pineapple tarts
Pineapples were on sale. 2 for $3.00Art cut them up for me.
Feeling ‘grate’
Strained and bottled up the juices for Art’s consumption.
Sugar added and cooked on low heat. Stirred constantly.
Done after an hour and half. Set aside to cool.
Dough rested for 15 minutes.
My thumbprint
They looked nice but really, they don’t taste nice at all!
Verdict: Not only I can’t cook, I can’t bake either!

MiMi will not give up so easily! Will attempt one more time! But with a friend ( a Malay Muslim who has been residing in the US for more than 20 years ) this time around!
It’s Ramadhan and she’s fasting from dawn to dusk. I’ve offered to make the pineapple jam as to lessen her burden. We will make them pineapple tarts probably 3 days before Eid al-Fitr. Can’t make them any sooner coz they would definitely be gone before the special day! Just like my Arty, her American husband loves pineapple tarts too!
I got 3 medium-sized ones. Should be able to yield enough to be divided between us two
