The CCP got rid of the old China, as in 77 million starved or slaughtered, or machine-gunned or crushed by tanks at Tiananmen Square.

That claiming-ignorance defense of the CCP's use of the Confucius Institutes for propaganda, intellectual espionage and soft influence is telling.

It's also a lie. Another word for lie is propaganda.

At the very least, you are a pro-Chinese Communist propagandist. What I post are the reports of doctors and other medical scientists. Doubtless, what they have to say runs counter to the best interests of the CCP.

Let's look at the Confucius Institutes.

As a government entity, Confucius Institutes are controlled and managed by government officials and act as a mouthpiece for the Chinese Government. In 2011, Li Changchun, a member of the Chinese Government, stated:

The Confucius Institute is an appealing brand for expanding our culture abroad. It has made an important contribution toward improving our soft power. The ‘Confucius’ brand has a natural attractiveness. Using the excuse of teaching Chinese language, everything looks reasonable and logical.

... Confucius Institutes are an “important part of China’s overseas propaganda set-up Not surprisingly, a member of China’s propaganda ministry reportedly said:

Coordinate the efforts overseas and domestic propaganda, further create a favorable international environment for us…(w)ith regard to key issues that influence our sovereignty and safety, we should actively carry out international propaganda battles against issues such as Tibet, Xinjiang, Taiwan, Human Rights, and Falun Gong. Our strategy is to proactively take our culture abroad…e should do well in establishing and operating overseas cultural centers and Confucius Institutes.

... In addition, in December 2018, I convened a hearing as Chairman of the Judiciary Committee regarding China’s non-traditional espionage against the United States.... In that hearing, DOJ and FBI officials made clear that the threat to our universities and taxpayer-funded research from foreign governments is known and ongoing. For example, the DOJ witness, Assistant Attorney General for National Security John Demers, stated, we need to adapt our enforcement strategy to reach non-traditional collectors, including researchers in labs, universities, and the defense industrial base, some of whom may have undisclosed ties to Chinese institutions and conflicted loyalties. You may also be aware that the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) for Fiscal Year 2019 included a provision that addresses Congress’ distrust of China’s role within Confucius Institutes on American campuses. Specifically, it prohibits federal funds from being spent for Chinese language instruction provided by a Confucius Institute.

Concerns are echoed by academic associations and many institutions that have already discontinued their affiliation with Confucius Institutes. Both the American Association of University Professors and the National Association of Scholars have independently detailed how Confucius Institutes restrict academic freedom and promote an agenda tailored by the Chinese Government for the benefit of the Chinese Communist party.

Considering it has already been acknowledged that these "Institutes" are fronts for Espionage, Propaganda and Influence centers and known adjuncts of the Chinese Communist Party, this one, Farg, is a whopper.

MASKIROVKA

Maskirovka is a Russian word (??????????) pertaining to the business of military deception. Although the word is sometimes translated as 'camouflage', this belies its much broader meaning that includes all measures, active and passive, designed to deceive the enemy, which includes: concealment (skrytie), imitation using decoys and military dummies (imitasiia), manoeuvres intended to deceive (demonstrativnye manevry) and disinformation (dezinformatsiia)

The Soviet Military Encyclopeadia defines maskirovka thus:

'The means of securing combat operations and the daily activities of forces; a complexity of measures, directed to mislead the enemy regarding the presence and disposition of forces, various military objectives, their condition, combat readiness and operations, and also the plans of the commander ... maskirovka contributes to the achievement of surprise for the actions of forces, the preservation of combat readiness and the increased survivability of objectives.'

It was developed as a military doctrine in the 1920s, and used by Zhukov in the 1939 Battles of Khalkhin Gol against Japan. For example the Field Regulations of the Red Army (1929) stated that "Surprise has a stunning effect on the enemy. For this reason all troop operations must be accomplished with the greatest concealment and speed." Concealment was to be attained by confusing the enemy with movements, camouflage and use of terrain, speed, use of night and fog, and secrecy. Maskirovka was put into practice on a large scale in the Battle of Kursk, especially on the Steppe Front commanded by Ivan Konev. The result was that the Germans attacked Russian forces four times stronger than they were expecting. The German general Friedrich von Mellenthin wrote "The horrible counter-attacks, in which huge masses of manpower and equipment took part, were an unpleasant surprise for us... The most clever camouflage of the Russians should be emphasized again. We did not .. detect even one minefield or anti-tank area until .. the first tank was blown up by a mine or the first Russian anti-tank guns opened fire"



Trying to hide an enemy Espionage, Propaganda and Influence operation of our deadliest enemy behind Alliance Francaise and the Geothe Institut is exactly the sort of deception measure MASKIROVKA refers to.
