Machines are by their nature manipulable. There's actually loads of video clips of prominent Democrats saying as such, but now that people that leaned Trump have pointed that out and have showed proof of fraud and malfeasance, deranged never-Trumpers want to pretend like there is no trouble at all. The safest way is one day of voting, turn up show your ID, paper ballots hand counted and double checked with a fraud proof system. People serving overseas or disabled or otherwise not present on election Day can get legitimate exceptions to vote absentee. Many countries have outlawed machines for good reason. They are prone to fraud by actors both foreign and domestic.
