Let's go with that story anyway and say he declassified documents in his possession at Mar-a-Lago and neglected to over stamp the classified stamp at the top of them. Plausible?
Previous excuses included: I don't have any, I would have returned them if you had asked, The FBI planted them, They're mine, I declassified all of them.
The one detail he forgot is the possession part. It's illegal ( ex-president or not) to have taken them in the first place. Coming up with an excuse of 'I was planning to send them over' reminds me of the guy who was stopped by the police driving around with a kilo of pot in his car. Just as the police are about to arrest him, he blurts out "But officer, I found this pot on the side of the road and was headed to police headquarters to turn it in!"

What else happened? Oh yeah, last week, Donald revealed the FBI spent hours searching through Melania's lingerie. She felt so violated that she could never wear them again (regardless of laundering) and that she had to buy all new underwear.

This week, it's the FBI searching Barron's room. Quoted from one news source he said:

If you ask me... no. That is unless it was specified in the search warrant and I didn't see it listed when I scanned the warrant. Why search the room of a 16-year old kid?

It's all a part of the 'Democrats and Antifa instigated it all, entrapping the poor wee, hapless Republicans' spiel.
Personally, I think security failures should be independently investigated, whether people dropped the ball, or actively conspired to let events take their course. I think that is owed to the Capitol police.
I don't think any findings should exonerate Trump, or anyone else, though. I imagine Jack Smith's choice of indictments are astute enough for that not to happen, anyway.

Not sure if this number is high or low but when one takes 85 civilian weapon carriers out of a minimum 2k protesters, taking into consideration that the US is a country where just about every citizen is pro gun and armed, then isnt this a trivial amount of small arms to execute a successful coup with?
If my theory makes sense or not this whole episode doesn't make sense to me.

I think the majority went as support for Trump and not knowing what to expect. It was poorly orchestrated. There were several militia groups who knew about weapon carry in a federal building. They also expected metal detectors would be in place, so my guess is they remained in the background.
It's a long process to identify and arrest hundreds of people causing trouble. Photos of men using bear spray, fire extinguishers, axes. I recall reading some non-metal handmade weapons were found.
When you count the number of guns sold in America, it's not that 'everyone has a gun', it's more like "One person with 10 guns and 9 people without a gun"
Sounds funny, but I've been to a few gun shows and ask around to friends and that appears to be the distribution of guns in America.
