Chronic illness and disease is mainly the result of a person's lifestyle. You can't catch these illnesses, or be vaccinated against them. They are self inflicted by the type of lifestyle we adopt from when we are born. Processed foods, high fat intake, white sugar, white flour, excess of salt. High blood pressure, diabetes are examples that are treated with drugs produced by the pharmaceutical industry who make huge profits on our dependence on their products.Doctors prescribe pills and medicine without considering the cause of illness. They treat the symptoms and then get rid of you. Doctors have virtually no training in nutrition and we probably have more knowledge than them.
The best way to change lifestyle is to switch to plant based foods and control your weight together with exercise.
Introducing children to junk food as a treat is starting them on the path to ill health in the future.

I'd say find a balance or lean more on the plant based diet.
Good thinking about vitamin intake. Most soya milks contain B12 and calcium.
