I wasn't asking what the UK government could do when I said 'we'.

I am not a part of the UK government.

The UK has a second generation immigrant Prime Minister who was not voted in by the people and who appears to believe that immigration is for the privileged and wealthy like his parents. He appears to believe that it's acceptable to let desperate people die rather than enter the UK and claim refugee status.

I doubt very much Rishi Sunak would suddenly become humane about the desperate and dying in Russia.

'We', in my post, referred to those of us who are reading your blog.
Well... I've re-read my answer to you and it appeared to have an inappropriate vibe. I felt bitter at the moment (not at you, but in general) and let it out in my answer to you personally. I apologize.

What a single individual, that is against usurper Putin who's killing Russia against Ukraine, can do? I do not know. My personal resistance and aversion don't let me come with any sensible strategy.

Keeping yourself informed - not brainwashed, but informed - might be the answer, but the events are too bloody... Well, they are literally too bloody and watching people die for almost 2 years now won't do anyone any good. (I'm the example.)

Appreciation. Gratefulness. Of and for leaving in peace and having possibilities for human development and economic security (that's not given) and wishing all that upon everyone else. If you appreciate that for yourself and your children and your neighbours, you won't support an aggressive war.

And supporting those - with word or with coin - who fight for their existence. Their right to live.

It's my suggestion.

As to Ekaterina Dunstova... they will not allow her (her team) to run and have an anti-war campaign. Not unexpected. Perhaps, it's for the best for her personally. It also illustrates - for those, who had doubts - that you need Putler's permission to be his "opponent" and she didn't have it. (Good to know.)
I had wondered if there was support for her on some patform, or another. If the world is watching in some way maybe she is slightly less likely to fall out of a window, or end up in a chilly part of the country. dunno

Otherwise, I can't fault your 'live well' philosphy.
Now... I'd love to say that if the world is watching then nothing foul will happens to...

The world is fully aware of Navalny's situation. Can you say that nothing foul is happening to him? His whole story is of foul things happening to him and no one bothers.

There are Yushchenko, Litvinenko, Novodvorskaya, Politkovskaya, Magnitskiy... to name a few... and no one bothered.( Freulein Merkel, au? It all happened on her watch.)

The most populated countries: India and China. They don't bother.

The most powerful countries: USA and EU. They don't bother.

Now, who's left? You and me and you and me... What can we do?

I can't tell for you. But I am to remain against:
- invasion. Against murders, looting, rapes, torture, humiliation.
- thieves in power. Benefiting of your crimes.
- brainwashing.

I am for:

- education. Human development.
- and, I think, the rest will follow: peace. compassion. understanding. tolerance. caring. interaction. horizontal connection.

The horizontal connection that decides. That has the power.

As they say: everything good and nothing bad.

Is it too much to look forward to?
What do you mean by a 'horizontal connection'?
Putin built a vertical connection: he appointed everyone in power, the ministers and the governments of the regions. And of the big cities. And of the municipalities of the big cities. And of course, of the minor cities. And so on.

The known anecdote is when a few WWII veterans in Moscow decided to get on the rest of their WWII war uniform and their medals and go on to the Victory parade. Ha-ha cou-cou. They were detained. The ments (policemen) were very polite and apologetic, but they kept the old (very old) men in detention during the time of the parade. Why? Because, it was "an action". An action that the powers in charge (Putler) don't appreciate. (Now, you go on a parade without asking a permission and what is the next thing you are going to do without asking a permission? I ax you!!!)

When people decide what to do within their circle. Like putting on the rest of your uniform and medals from the WWII and going to the Victory parade. That's the horizontal connection.

Without asking a permission.

Ekaterina Dunstova is an example of horizontal connection. She was addressing the small town people who are fed up with this absurd war and the lack of representation. And they are the majority in Russia.

Never mind the above, though:

You and me communicating is an example of a horizontal connection. Even an ephemeral one :)
Tule, I would still like to know how she imagined stopping the war.
I am also against the war (I wish Kiev would find the white flag soon)
but once in you can't just back out can you?
I mean if Ekaterine got full power in the next election
(yes I know Putin-dictatore will not allow it, I know)
but how could it be done? Has this been mentioned?
"Has this been mentioned" where?

There's 7 years prison sentence for word "peace". Are you prepared to go to Russia and "mention"... whatever you mean with "mention"?

I have asked you a lot of questions about Russophones around the world and there was no answer. That's fine. I wanted to establish a base-line: whether you are concerned about Russians in non-Russian environment or you are concerned about Russians in Russian environment or whatever.

You are welcome to enlighten me at any convenient to you time.

As it is the Russian army invading Ukraine it is up to Russian commander-in-chief - a president - a tsar - a khan - a duntsova - to command the army to return to its quarters. Or do you expect the Ukrainian army go to Moskva, as Prigozhin?

This war will end when Russia returned to Russia and stops to shell Ukrainian towns. It is that simple.
I am totally unqualified to utter my opinion on the USA elections (not that I don't have any...)

You are right: Duntsova appearance out of nowhere was quite a vision. They (putler's lackeys ) didn't expect her and didn't know what to do. That's why Panfilova used the same words, as she said to Navalny: "You are so young. You have a whole life in front of you..." They were not prepared. They were convineced that they cleaned the space. And now out of no where a Dunstova has raised. They can manege a person. What are they going to do with what she is representing?

And she is representing a simple theme: no war and Russia without putler.

S-i-m-p-l-e
No I'm only worried about Russians in Ukraine, if Putin pulls out that is.
So I see no way he can actually do that any longer.

What happens after Putin is gone though is another question.
Even he will grow old one day and will have to leave the rule to someone else.
What then.
That is the only thing I blame Putin for; not to start planning for how Russia
can become democratic after he has to let go of the rudder.
In worst case it will go like in KIev: a corrupt elite will simply take charge
and the people will get nothing but hardship.
I totally cannot get your point.

The people has nothing but hardship right now. Do you have any numbers for income per capita or some such per Russian regions? Do you have any - any - idea about how people outside MKAD have it?

Enlisting to the army is social lift for many living in Buryatia, Tyva, Dagestastan. If you would ask how mach they care about Russian language here or in Ukraine, I wouldn't have an answer. Thank you for not asking.
Ok, cool.

Can you only,
tell me how this war can end then.
How can the war end, give me two possible scenarios.

Cos that is what this blog is about is it not?
Yes, you can learn more about "since 2014 with many civilian death" from the link I've posted. (You want me to post it once again, just ax.)

No, I don’t mean that when Russia withdraw its army from Ukraine it will be safe to speak Russian language for the Russophones. It was before the invasion. (Those happy times when the first 10 programmes on TV were in Russian.) It is quite possible, that after that everything will change.

There are Russian-speakers in Ukraine.

Harkov is Russian-speaking town to 80 %. Still. It’s getting shelled as of 24th of Feb of 2022, for almost 2 years now.

Odessa too. As a Russian-speaking town should be… or?

Mariupol. You know what happened to Mariupol? This Russian-speaking town? Tell me, please, what happened to Mariupol. (Kuvaev (Masyanya’s father, made a film about it and I posted a link to.))

Now, let’s go to Azov matter. As one, who has a hard-on on Azov, you know that they were captured in April of 2022 in Azovstal. Then what? Did we see a trial? Dunno about you, but I see Azov leaders and fighers getting exchanged to whoever, like Medvedchuk. Don’t you wonder why? Don’t you wonder why they don’t want a trial? Isn’t there enough of proof to that or this? Is there proof at all?

The ball is on your court.
No, my thread is about an alternative to putler.

Dunstova is a representative of a small Russian town. A mother, who is concerned about the future of this country, because she is concerned about the future of her children. As any parent should. So simple and so meaningful.

As any war, this one will end with a fred agreement. I don't see, though, the Russian language to be a winner in whatever case.

Generally, a language is alive as long as there are people, who speak it. What do you know about Russian language and its spread around the globe?

What I know: the absolute majority lives in Russia. There are significant minorities in Ukraine, Kazahstan, Georgia, Moldova, some Baltic counties.

They are going to die of old age and the next generation are to speak the native languages and English.

As to Russia: the demographers predict diminishing of Russian population to under 100 millions to 2050 and to 60-70 millions to the 2100. (They say that it's 140 millions in Russia now, but who knows.) You could always keep in mind the area. Well... China will acquire the area about Vladivostok up to Baikal, but I doubt they will go further north; there is really no point.

The majority of the clever population will "drain " to better places, if they wouldn't close the borders with just another "iron curtain".

It is an apocalyptic scenario. You can say what will happen with your economy in 10-15-20 years by the reforms it is experiencing now. And now Russian economy is switching to a command war economy, that made USSR fail 40 years previously.

Cheers, new generations!

PS. You are totally welcome to come with your own economic and demographic scenario for Russia.
Here is your problem.
Instead of teaching me what you may know, you're aggressively trying to win an argument.

If you had said "ok, I agree it's not so easy for Putin to pull out now without retaliation on his blood brothers in Ukraine" - and maybe continued to the tune of "true Azov was not the typical sunday alterboy chior, that much is true but neither have they been given a fair trail when stuck on the wrong side of this new iron carpet Putin made" and after such an intro you would have my ear to tell what seem to be the real problem in eastern Ukraine.
But anyways I think I will give this attempt up.
And no not interested in a one hour video of a one sided presentation,
your words is what I was after now.
But that is history. As is Donbas, Krim and the rest of the south bank.
Wave it bye bye. You can thank Washington and their tool Nato.

tip hat
As they say in Russian: to teach a fool is to spoil him. I do no teach you. In general terms, you cannot teach anyone anything. People learn, when and if.

Yes, indeed, why would you see a one hour long video about the facts. You know the facts. It is your birth privileges to know all the facts upon waking up in the morning, isn't it.

I cannot thank NATO or Washington (you know, they're 2 capitals who shat themselves during the Prigozhin march: Moskva and Washington), they didn't nothing. USA have a lot of old and really old military equipment rusting in Nevada desert. They could send it to Ukraine without any harm to themselves (actually it'd be a win as all this equipment needs maintaining). They still cannot decide what they want of the whole thing.

Waiting for Nikki Haley.

Well.. as I see it, they want the whole thing just disappear so they would be able to continue all the trade and shit as usual. Never mind the political prisoners. Some people poisoned on NATO soil? Never heard about it. Shoohe, there' sss own fault, them bein so clumsy getting poisoned by Novichok....
Grandsi are you really interested to be teached? Think good. Your brain is full of misinformation at the moment. But the real situation is not what you are thinking it is
Many tens of millions of Russians never voted for Putin. Millions of them paid for their refusal to “take the sacrament of the buffalo” with a ban on their profession, persecution and emigration. Millions support Ukraine today in word and deed. Tens of thousands of people got to the streets, were beaten in squares, and closed in paddy wagons. Thousands - already in wartime, having remained in Russia, were not afraid to call the war a crime and are sitting now in camps and prisons for this...
Now about "UKRAINIAN NAZISM"
this is a calculated lie of the Kremlin, because it was “Ukrainian Nazism” that was the propaganda argument for the invasion...
Let's clarify the concepts. The truth is that there is no nationalism at the state level, but only at the grassroots level of the problem: the obvious growth of anti-Russian sentiments in Ukraine, and precisely after the invasion! War should be stopped any price. Putin should go to jail or die . That s it
Salamuna. I disagree, but I thank you for speaking from your heart. handshake
We'll discuss it over a cup of hot chokolate one day, if we even bother to bring up why you hate Putin and why I do trust him.
coffee coffee

Russias relationship to Israel however I understand nothing of. Zero.
Can you teach me up on that instead?

hug
This is Tul's blog. and it is not associated with Israel. so I'll say it briefly. Russia maintains friendly relations with Hamas, because terrorists always support each other. Hamas leaders have repeatedly visited Moscow at the personal invitation of President Putin.

Putin has two main goals in the Middle East: maintaining the flow of weapons from Iran and maintaining a military presence in Syria, where Russia controls the port of Tartus. And all of Putin’s actions are dictated precisely by these goals. But the primary reason for Moscow’s interest in the situation in Israel just now is to divert attention from the war in Ukraine
Aha.
Strategical reasons is what I suspected yeap, thanks.
This message for your Liberal friend as well.
Do you realize what happens to people who always lie. Especially when they are getting paid by Soros and his buddies. Those who lie, ending up in Hell. Vyrusi !
