We sent them home!

Well, we learnt the game from them but now we prove to the world that we are even better than them!!!

Tonight Sri Lanka beat England in the quarter finals of the ICC cricket world cup. Tonight the Lions roared so vigorously and and God couldn't save the Queen!!

Sri Lanka, a country with a population about 20Million people, got exposed to cricket, under the rule of the British, during its colonial era. Well, Lankans soon took the game seriously and embraced it to the level that almost every Sri Lankan, eats drinks and breaths cricket!! It was amazing to see the way the Nation, once had its differences towards diverse ethnic groups, unites around a Team comprising cricketers from diverse ethnic groups, and celebrate its victory under one flag!!

Congratulation Sri Lanka!! We may be small in size, but together as one Nation, we will break through the hurdles!!!

hi lilacmoon :) you know my favourite colour is lilac :) take care
Game has fifty Fifty Chance..cricket too.. whoperform better than others they win..its a nature.

and the meantime i condemn the the statement "God couldn't save the Queen!!" God supported either or neither.

i congrats srilankans for their victory and wish them for win the World Cup too.
Personally, I think over-identifying with sports groups, teams, cities, countries creates opportunities for bias. One game does not determine that one country is better than another. It just shows that on one day at one time one team won. And good for them. But let's not go so far as to say one country is better than another. There's too much of that in the US as it is!
