african , great point. So many things in this life are uncertain. yes there are certain things that we do have control over but then again there are so many others on so many different levels that are completely unpredictable.thumbs up

I view life like a slot machine. If you know how a slot machine works, you move some handles that in turn move paddles which direct the ball in whatever direction you want it to go. If you make good choices, the ball lands right where you want it to, and you win. If you make bad choices, the ball skews off in the wrong direction and, unless corrected along the way, you lose the game. Life is just like that - make the right choices, you win. Make the wrong ones, you lose, big time. But, up to a certain point, you still have a chance to correct your life. Once you start heading down a certain path, right or wrong, it's hard to change the path.

Potential for happiness yes.. too true.

Because how do we know what the right choice is in a situation and you may end up with a mediocre job and a clapped out banger but with the girl of your dreams.. very happy.
