I'm tired of being nice to people ...

I'm tired of being nice to people who don't give a shit about me......:((Being nice all the time just gets exhausting because people take advantage of that ..People tends to take it for granted when I’m nice. Sometimes, being nice isn’t always the answer to everything. It’s just tiring....

Morgen.....thank you for the kind words.....Im nice to everyone, in the hope, that they will be nice to me, and if they arent, then i will try avoid them as much as possible, cos one thing i cant stand, is when you get some people that think nothing of being bad, and treating others in a bad way, but then when anyone else treats them in a bad way, they hate it,get into a bad mood and start complaining about it!!! i hate people like that!!

Sweetie,

Don't hate the person rather avoid him/her. Or if the person happens to be someone close to you - a relative of yours or close friends, you can always talk things over. I've been through a whole lot of those too...

I almost equate my being nice to the traffic light. Green - continue to be nice, yellow - observe and still be nice to a certain extent, red - ignore totally if can not be solved....

yes but if we get to over emotional , some times the right quote can be enough to snap us back to reality and the real world , and if they were not strong enough, maybe they were not meant to be here ...

I never force myself to be nice with people. Most of the time I'm nice and when I don't feel like being nice I'm not :)
If you pretend and force yourself it causes a big interior tension which has a bad effect on you. So being too nice to everyone can be not nice to yourself.
Also, most of the people don't respect someone who is too nice all the time. They consider them weak or sneaky or miserable.
Try to improve yourself but be natural, at least that's what I do.

I agree with Jana.

You have to learn how to be assertive while being nice. It's not that easy, but people must know that if you're polite, kind and nice that doesn't mean that they can use you or treat you with disrespect.

i have been feelin the exact same way. seems like aloot of people take niceness for grantd, it hurts sometimes,i feel we should all try and treat each other right and nice ugh... guess its a losin battle. some do appreciate it though and are nice as wel. thank god lol
