Did anybody have a car accident.

Hi, I had a car accident, I drove off the road into the bushes on the other side of the road at 3am in the morning,
I awoke, when I saw long bushes, falling down infront of me, and heading for a tree. It was raining etc and very muddy, which slowed the car down I think.
Has anybody had such an experience, I must say it was a real adrenaline rush, and I think thats the best way to go as you dont feel any pain at the time. Your adrenaline takes over.
But later my foot was bruised and I thought I was going to die from the pain. Its the best way out I think, as long as you die instantly and not be injured to an extent of suffering for the rest of your life. I fell asleep behind the wheel.
One thing I know now, Im not scared of death, and enjoy and appreciate my days more.

A close call! ... I hit a guard rail on the side of the highway once ... banged up the car but could have been much worse ... I was too tired ... shouldn't have been driving ... it was rather frightening to think about how it could have gone if the timing was worse (or the guard rail wasn't there!).

My accident was 20 years ago ... Did yours happen just recently?

It does teach us something about life, doesn't it? handshake

Good that you seem to be okay, but agree with Virgo that you should not fall asleep at the wheel, next time it may not be a bush that slow you down, but another innocent road user or pedestrian.. Also, get your foot properly checked at the hospital, you never know if there is something affected you do not know about due to the pain already felt.. uh oh As for dying, I can think of far better and pain free ways of leaving this earth.. angel cool

I am fortunate that I have never had a car accident in all my 53 years of driving. I came real close once but God was there to protect me.

i got t-boned by a car while riding a bike. ive been in a head on with a drunk driver. ive lost control in the gravel & flipped it at 90km. im still alive but i do prefer to walk to work now. you apreciate your legs more after doing time in a wheel chair
