Best friends forever..

Sitting... watching... waiting... listening..
Head still, the eyes cast across the tall grasses.

Sitting..watching...waiting... listening..
Ears scan the hillside for the the sound...

Sitting...watching..waiting.. listening..
Nose constantly samples for the familiar scent..

Moving... crouched ... silent... focused..
stretched out and flat, nearing the quarry...

Boom!!!! An explosion of golden hair and the high pitched squeals of laughter mix together with joyful barking as dog finds boy, they roll around with each other, its a happy reunion.... best friends forever.

Thanks Springlark, its becoming more and more important in these times for people to remember that the best things in life are the simple things in life, pure happiness and joy is still free and there for everyone if they take the time to stop and breathe...cheers

Yeah, I remember my best little pal. A dog named Tiny and he was tiny with long red hair and a long tail. He used to guard my bike and he wouldn't let anyone near it.

I moved away from our home and one day on a visit the first little pal I went to see was Tiny. He was old and toothless and about 18 years old at the time. He didn't remember me and with the "old" Tiny intact he gave me a soft bite to tell me to stay away.

I just laughed and gave him another hug.
