Why do some people not have a profile picture, am always a bit weary of contacts that don't?

My reason for being weary of adding a pic is that people then just choose you because of the way you look and don't want to find out what you are really about.

Also people who work in the public such as doctors etc. don't want to put pics up. I had an anesthesiologist contact me. He didn't want to put a pic up because of his job but had no problems emailing me a pic.

We used to have Headache Powders here in Aussie called BEX!!doh And they Banned them!!! No Joke!!! I dont Know Why???confused
I think people were taking to many of them,with deteremental efects!!!!wow
