American Idol

Parallel to the blog about blondes. Out of several aspirants only 2 were left. One is an all American boy next door type, middle class, with not so much of a voice but croons and moves his body as if it's swaying with his music. The other is a petite half asian, half latina gal with a voice that would make you ask for more encore but with a simple-looking face. And you know who won. Don't get me wrong I like Philip too best of all for not being a braggart but then again the organizers must have some kind of standard for that choice.

@Choco, indeed nice voice too. But he lacked votes. With Jessica, she has and talent too but simple beauty. It's a discovery search and the organizers surely earned a lot. @Parti, thanks for believing on her. You should have been one of the judges.bouquet

It's not just the voice but overall charisma, and it's not the organizers or judging panel who ultimately decides who wins but the general public viewers who call in to cast their vote!

I agree with Sur! It's the public that decides. Jessica had the great power voice (which I'm bored of those types even though they can sing well). On the other hand Phillip was the complete package. Had a great voice, played the guitar and could change the songs and make them his own. He was the all around artist. I give props for that. So the right person won! Yay! I was shocked cause I thought everyone would go for the power voice but they didn't! Maybe America is finally learning it's about artistry too! I think Joshua will appeal to R&B/Gospel listeners but he won't go mainstream. Skylar will do well in country. I liked Colton but he only made it mid way through. I actually thought it was the most boring Idol ever.yawn sleep

I don't know what the decision was and I don't care to watch these programs but I thought the girl was beautiful! If she's as good as everyone says then I think she will be doing just great because she will be signed to a recording contract and that's the bottom line.

I did not have all the understanding on how the winner would be judged. I heard Jessica sings on tv and she is phenomenal. Philip got the looks and the charisma and he is also a good singer. One judge could vote for Jessica, and the others for Philip. Win or lose, Jessica made it nearly to the top and she is in her way to more success. Good luck to her.

@Tatami I think the top 3 were all really good and they will do well in record sales so doesn't really matter who won. But Jessica to be that good at 16 is amazing. Maybe being so young it is good she didn't win.
