FRIENDSHIP
“Oh, the comfort – the inexpressible comfort of feeling safe with a person, having neither to with thoughts, nor measure words, but pouring them all out, just as they are, chaff and grain together, knowing that a faithful hand will take and sift them – keep what is worth keeping – and with the breath of kindness blow the rest away.”Anonymous
Friendship comes and goes, but most importantly they are there. Good and bad memories stain our minds, to be repeated over and over again as we grow older. Telling them to our children and grandchildren. Just give anyone sufficient time and you will learn about their best friend.
This is a tribute to all the friends that we have or had. They moulded our opinions on issues. Made us think differently or ourselves. Aristotle said friendship is “one soul inhabiting two bodies”. A profound statement.
I have had a particular person as a friend for the past 25 years now. We have gone through the ups and downs of relationships. We have been together and apart so many times. Shared tears, laughter, smiles and advise over this time. My deepest secrets are buried inside her.
I know that you have someone. A person who doesn’t judge you when you talk. From whom you cannot hide thoughts and feelings. Today, go to that friend and salute them for allowing you to be who you really are. Who accepts you unquestioningly. And should you have not found them yet, search for them. They are worth every moment of your life.

Way up high
And the dreams that you dreamed of
Once in a lullaby
Verse 2:
Somewhere over the rainbow
Blue birds fly
And the dreams that you dreamed of
Dreams really do come true
Chorus:
Someday I'll wish upon a star
Wake up where the clouds are far behind me
Where trouble melts like lemon drops
High above the chimney top is where you'll find me
Verse 3:
Somewhere over the rainbow bluebirds fly
And the dreams that you dare to, oh why, oh why can't I?
Well I see trees of green and Red roses too,
I'll watch them bloom for me and you
And I think to myself
What a wonderful world
Well I see skies of blue and I see clouds of white
And the brightness of day
I like the dark and I think to myself
What a wonderful world
The colors of the rainbow so pretty in the sky
Are also on the faces of people passing by
I see friends shaking hands
Saying, "How do you do?"
They're really saying, I...I love you
I hear babies cry and I watch them grow,
They'll learn much more than We'll know
And I think to myself
What a wonderful world
Chorus:
Someday I'll wish upon a star,
Wake up where the clouds are far behind me
Where trouble melts like lemon drops
High above the chimney top is where you'll find me
Ending:
Somewhere over the rainbow way up high
And the dreams that you dare to, ... why, oh why can't I
