Tenacity

What a lovely word this is. It means willfulness, determination, steadfastness, insistence, perseverance, energy. I chose this name for a reason. I’ve been known as Tenaciti all over. The difference in spelling was simply because someone else already has taken the correct spelling and I was left with option number two.
Through the years I had rejected to give up on anything. I’ve refused to give up on love, ardor, my dreams, children, despite the fact that I can’t have my own. I’ve refused to lie down and die. I went through an abysmal Hollywood marriage of only six months, when I found my ex-husband in bed with another woman, had been battered by the same coward, gone through a gang rape and many suicide attempts. I’ve been cheated on, lied to, hurt, demeaned, mocked and broken. But I know that I’m no weakling to lie in a heap and lick my wounds forever.
It’s tenacity that brought me this far and believe you me, it is tenacity that keeps me at it. I found that I can do anything I put my mind to and so can you. Remain persistent in your undertakings. Use your steadfastness to get things done, no matter how small or unimportant it may seem, persevere in your dreams and contend on success. And then, drive your objective home.
