Don`t worry be happy...
When I say sugars I mean all the things which have refined (short chain) sugars. Sweet drinks, lollies, sweets, deserts, anything with added sugar and carbohydrates (long chain sugars) inlcuding pasta, breads and other processed wheat products, and if really serious, potatoes and rice also (though if you are going to eat carbs - rice is the best one).
Your body will metabolise all fats perfectly well in the absence of any sugars. Presented with a meal containing sugars and fats your body will automatically store the sugars in anticipation of lean days ahead (which never come for modern man).
My basic rule is; if you can pluck it off a tree, dig it from the ground or fish it from the water...its ok to eat. Anything with more processing than that will kill you (albeit slowly).
