It climbs up and clings to trees or walls. The leaves r green throughout the year. This plant flowers in autumn and the black berries keep throughout winter and springtime. So it makes a useful diet for some birds like wild pidgeons. But is not really edible for humans. Contains jodine. Said to be related to Ginseng.

We have this Hedera Helix in Finalnd too, with different name , this kind of fruits are so delicious for me, i had enough of them in Autumnlaugh
Though it is almost too hot today it was a fine day in the sun. Rabbirs and pheasants almost jumping around my feet. wave

Too hot!!! After freezing for months and months and montha, weeks and days and nights ... happy it was up to 34°c at 19.11h in the sunshine. Who needs the cold?
This plant has medicinal uses.
