You may kiss the bride now!!!!!.....

I attended a wedding ceremony in my church this morning. The bride looked so beautiful in her traditional wedding costume - kebaya. It was a 2 hour ceremony. The bride and groom made their vows in front of the pastor and the congregation.
Upon completing their vows in front of everybody, the pastor asked the groom to kiss the bride.

You may kiss your wife on the forehead now....grin grin

A lot of weddings I attended here in my town are of the same nature...it is either kissing your wife on the forehead or the newly weds were not asked to do the kissing part at all.

So You may kiss your wife on the forehead now is our Indonesian Style of kissing after both are declared husband and wife. THis is my own conclusion lol...laugh laugh laugh

How about you folks out there. what styles of kissing do they normally use for wedding ceremonies in your countries????

a kiss on the cheeks
a kiss on the hand
a kiss on the chin
a French Kiss

Hi all kiss

Now young people live together first and then get married.
So that they are ready to kiss each other in accordance with church ritual
This is not the first kiss as before, and the beauty of this part of the ceremony often occurs for a photo...mumbling

I used to work at the city hall and part of my job was to celebrate civil marriages, most of the couples after I declared them legaly married kissed on their lips. When one marry by church here, you can only kiss your bride until the pastor or the priest gives you permission to it and we call it beso santo or sacred kissed, first kiss as a married couple wave I know for a fact the day I marry I am gonna kiss husband on his lips with all my love.

Here in Norway, we kiss on the lips after getting married. When the priest say you may now kiss the bride, it's on the lips...
