Sharing another interesting place .....
here in North Sumatera, Bukit Lawang Rainforest, home to the famous Orangutans.Had two friends over for the holidays from England and America and I took them for a whole day trekking in this jungle with the help of our guide of course. We climbed 4 very steep hills and enjoyed watching these wild orangutans swinging freely in the trees. Some of them are semi tamed and they even came so close to us.
We started off at 8am and arrived at our campsite at about 5.30pm. We camped out in jungle for the night and then tubed down this very strong current river for almost 45 minutes. It was quite frightening but we did enjoy it...
