Defense Contractors

Every country has them and if they are anything like the ones in America they get way too much money from the government.

I had an idea that may be interesting, tell me what you think. What if the respective governments made it law that every contractor had to spend 33.3% of the moneys they get on things like infrastructure, textile and electronics manufacturing. Wouldnt this put a lot of lesser skilled people back to work, while improving the overall welfare of the countries?

I mean if they can build jet fighters why can they make Levi's and TVs bury power lines and update bridges roads and water works?

Its just a thought, what do you think?
