You Tube stalls and Mozilla browsers
My impressions are subjective and not conclusive but I did something different today that seems to have had an immediate impact. For several weeks now when accessing Youtube the videos would often stall a few seconds (or worse in the middle) into the video. Sometimes the stall would be just a few seconds of duration, other times it would last a half hour or more.
I use Firefox and today found a new add-on to supplement the ad-blocker. It is called 'self destructing cookies' and it is found under cookies when searching add ons.
You will have to whitelist some primary sites (including youtube.com) but it blocks all 3rd party and 2nd party cookies and then after you leave the website destroys the cookies that track you. If you don't whitelist them, some sites won't admit you, but if you have you can access them ok, but no tracking data gets saved.
Anyway, I installed it and after it deleted a bunch of cookies and I told it to let me into youtube, my the you tube videos are no longer stalling. My impression is most of the stalls were caused by the cookies and now I don't have those same cookies interfering with the transmission of the music videos, so it all plays smooth.
