Had my first date last night...

Went out for a movie with a new manfriend last night. He's a local I met at work and was very polite and considerate: very gentlemanly. There may be hope yet for this country. If nothing more it's good to finally start making friends in this area. I think I must be a bit of a hermit. Takes me a long time to mingle with the indigenous.

I do not recommend however, the movie "Escape Plan", although it had very good casting and it's probably the best Sly Stallone film yet. He's learned to articulate!

@CC: Ah no, I'm not judging or anything like that really. But on a more relaxed and general note and nothing about you specifically, there would be women out there that might feel that a man wasn't attracted to them if they didn't show interest sufficiently. And by sufficiently, that might mean anything from a lean in for a kiss or something like that. It's tough being a man. lol

Thanks Abagail. It's hard to make this one laugh. Mind, I do like a challenge...

This man does have to his advantage that he is in the Goldielocks zone as to height. Two inches taller and I'd be moved to take up climbing. All composure lost, I fear...

I have the tendency to aggress whatever alarms me and anything taller than 6'3" I get confused: "Am I scared or aroused? Hmmmm... Better mount an assault to discern the exact nature of this feeling..."

LOL! Yes, Abagail, I find I get fear confused with arousal -- or is it the other way around?

I love to move mountains.

Sometimes the best way to do that is to scale them. There's something to the acute angle at which I have to crane my neck back in order to make eye contact with a BIG man. Seems to cause tachycardia. I use the effect to gauge how tall a man is. Anything 6'3" or over seems to stimulate adrenaline... (I like it. Seems I am dead attracted to scary and to challenge.)

There's something seriously quirky about me. But it's like this: Fear is the only emotion with which I am uncomfortable because it's the only one that demands a response. Fear means something needs to be done. So, if I aggress what frightens me, there are two possible outcomes: I vanquish whatever frightened me. (Fear stops.) Or whatever frightened me slays me. (Fear stops.) Works for ME!

Hi Virgo! Great to see you! Keeping you in my prayers along with a few others here. Keep eating unprocessed foods and your health will improve immensely! Cut out the grain and your aches and pains in your joints will improve. (Omega 6s in grains cause inflammation.) Add Krill oil for more omega 3s and your joint pains will likely go away as my own have. (Omega 3s reduce inflammation.)

well the baked beans are in tin cans , I was on caned sweetcorn but they put the price up .... I can get 2 and a half cans of beans for the price of 1 can of sweetcorn , I get these fruit iceblocks now instead of Icecream ...

Pedalguy! You are just too far up north! Dahlin' Man! You and Dan come down this way to visit FL and I'd be proud to go out with both of you (although not at one time as that would be awkward, I think.) I even have a spare room so you could hang out and the farm and enjoy the birds and the quiet for a couple of days too. The coffee is fresh roasted and phenomenal, man!

IW! Are you saying they all find you irresistible?!! What a cross to bear, that must be!! Some women have all the luck.

Here's a funny one, I never realized I was fairly good looking until in the last year. I used to get way too much attention -- not all of it healthy, and it has made me headshy. The fastest way for a man to alienate me is to become too aggressive too fast. He'll have no doubt if I am truly interested. I don't mince words. I rarely flirt insincerity and I am not shy about being direct. I am also precise and tend to say precisely what I mean given my understanding of the words I choose. I am also fairly protective of my prerogatives. My body is mine. His body is his. I generally ask if I may give someone a hug. It seems only fair that I show the same level of respect for his personal boundaries that I expect of mine.

Thank you Bajan! I have a day full of pulling old sale tags and hanging the new ones at the store! It's lots of standing and squatting and kneeling and trying to focus on tiny little numbers on the tags and on the products -- numbers I have to match product to sticker. But my new friend might come in to say hello as he lives right next door to the store.
