It's a shame that is how we rate a good blog... the participants have an opportunity to interact and learn. But I agree... I like that this blog was on such a positive topic. Kudos to you UnFayzed.
That reminds me of a story my Grandmother told me of the London Underground... she was drinking champagne for the first time... and it went straight to her head. Her friend and her went around the Underground for hours quite lost- it was 1915 and she was with her best friend. She shared the story with me to remind me that all teenagers go through a rebellious period. Although I am not sure how rebellious drinking champagne from a hip flask was.

Many years ago I used to blog on sites that were frequented by writers... It was an incredible time. I have always said that the subsequent conversations after the initial topic is what makes it more interesting.
Well that explains why I go from A to B so often... I thought it was because I was on a train... but it seems I lack imagination.
I swear that's probably why I love Art Galleries so much... I can see where ideas and concepts go ... show appreciation, awe... or literally question why it exists at times. But I appreciate that we don't always follow the same journey in life.
Hello there... I heard it crassly referred to as 'mental m**turbation' recently and laughed... that actually fits. Intelligence and personality goes a long way.
Infatuation can be appealing as long as you realise that's all it is over long distance.. you will never really know a person until they are standing before you...and even then, do you ever really know a person?!
Hello again- I agree... I LOVED Mt St Helens. The area is beautiful, but then I got to spend a day out there with an old friend. Laughter and conversation go a long way towards making an experience better.
Arizona's desert areas are stunning.
I can speak highly of Niagara Falls as well. Amazing place... so many different things to do.
...but I am a big believer in opening your mind and taking experiences in... enjoying them, exploring them and being open to new information.
You might as well enjoy what's available to you ... there is so much to see in the US.
One day hopefully this Covid mess will be behind us and we can travel overseas again...but there is part of me that is enjoying getting out a bit more locally.
I had no idea this was here until I was advised it was here.
Whale's are pretty amazing marine mammals- Who wouldn't take the opportunity to explore the oceans at will.
... You are correct though, whether you do or don't like my photo is of little relevance to me. Although... I appreciate the unusual attempt at correspondence.
I do have to add ... that I do love good statistics. But I must insist on good... not biased.
The comments however, on this blog, are incredibly amusing to read... so if you have done no other service than to encourage these individuals to be present... then you have indeed done a service.
...but then, I am just another felon in paradise... and I must say, it's a great place to be.
I like your idea of a moat with a drawbridge... until now I thought the modern technique of having a long driveway would succeed.
Nice to see you back...I thought you had taken the idea of social distancing too far on here... and put yourself in isolation. I was wondering if I would need to put you in a glass coffin and have dwarves watch you until someone came along to kiss you awake.
I guess I am about to find out what it's all about... I arrived home yesterday and amazingly got two lots of visitors within the first hour of being home.
I am glad to hear they finally found a reason for your headaches... although giving you a life sentence is a bit harsh. I hope you feel much better soon.
I am a fan of TripAdvisor ... I read the reviews before booking accommodation and it's been a saving grace at times. Often a website will have spectacular photos of their rooms available... but the truth is the photos were taken 20 years ago, or with 'special' lighting. I also used it in Spain to find restaurants.
I did giggle at your well meant review. I had one of those a few years ago. A co-worker told me to try a restaurant and at his insistence... I joined his family for dinner one night. I learned a valuable lesson that night... NEVER EVER take advice from him for a place to eat.The food was average and while I didn't die... It wasn't what I would consider outstanding.
"Abagail, nobody is allowed to sit on Santa's knee any more, even those who wouldn't mind being felt up sigh but I wish you'd try it, and I wish you'd have someone standing by with a camera grin
Question for you - are you giving gifts to children this year? Are you giving a bigger or more expensive gift than you would have given 10 years ago (relatively speaking, you understand - EVERYTHING is more expensive than it was 10 years ago!) and will the tag say it is from you, or from Santa?
Look into the light, please. And don't worry about the rubber hose, we won't be using it if you just answer the question. "
I discovered years ago that my friends secretly hate me when they manage to always get those photos that should NEVER be taken... and knowing my luck, one like that would end up in the local paper which is just a fount of knowledge.
As for the gift giving... I have always been very generous at Christmas where I give a lot of gifts. This year, I have committed to some large financial obligations and have decided to be selfish. I believe I am more aligned with the Grinch this year... I might be walking the streets late on Christmas Eve stealing trees, eggnog and other assorted festive stuff in my plot to end this festivity.
As for the gift cards... I would mix it up... nothing like writing Santa on the occasional tag when my daughter was young... just to perpetuate the myth that a stranger had been in the house the night before.
My impressions of Galway on my fleeting visit was it was vivacious, inviting and an exciting place to be. The street entertainment is of such a high standard there that were they in Australia, they would have regular gigs in hotels.
I can only imagine your eclectic collection from your journeys. I have an Aunt and Uncle who have travelled extensively, even by today's standards and they have collections of things through their home. I am always fascinated by something in their home.
Whereas I am not that way... I do have a small bell I bought back from Spain. Nothing special... touristy, simply to remind me of the trip . And a rather lovely trivet that I picked up in a market. A friend of mine brought back as much as she could carry ( Well as much as her partner's case would let her stash as well) and I recall how devastated she was when we got to our last night's in Madrid and she discovered a plate had broken.
I like that snail visual... slowly moving from place to place but taking their shell and then rather like a Terry Pratchett book... adding a layer.
I like that you have established home is where you lay your hat, so to speak. I often speak to immigrants that struggle with their choice to move and I find that sad.
So... has your weather changed since typing this blog? Are things improving?
RE: Useless trivia
That is really sweet that you want to elevate a pig's experience.
