RE: Love - An unexpected surprise

Cat it does seem that you gave the game away... You know the lady has the flu... and you are going to call her? smile

RE: A reading from the book of WTF

I have read a few books about why they believe... One of the ones I could recommend is... "The Believing Brain", by Michael Shermer.

It seems that some people steer genetically towards it.

RE: A reading from the book of WTF

Non, interestingly enough...people call to God in the heights of passion... I always thought they were looking for someone to pass them a towel.

RE: Love - An unexpected surprise

lol.. Based on your research... I would suggest she has fallen for an Irish guy.

RE: A reading from the book of WTF

I believe it may be... And oddly enough, some people seem to be able to understand. I now wonder how difficult it really was for the Pied Piper to play a whistle and have people and rats follow...After all, if you get on a pedestal... it seems people will follow you blindly.

RE: Love - An unexpected surprise

Thank you, Bajanshay. I believe that online dating can and does work, but there is a certain amount of frog kissing that goes with it. Mike is a lovely guy, very genuine and caring. Weird accent, but I can almost understand him now. laugh

RE: Love Is Not Blind.

Cynicism comes with age and experience... What is more concerning is that while we are learning our lessons, we don't learn one more important. And that is, we ourselves are flawed, for us not to accept that someone in our life might be... that is just arrogance on our behalf.

RE: A reading from the book of WTF

...What is concerning is they can be speaking like day old orang-utans and people are actually listening to them, and agreeing.

RE: Love - An unexpected surprise

Bajanshay... This site truly is only meant to be a terminal... like at an Airport... You meet and greet, have interesting conversations and move on.

I wish you the very best. bouquet

RE: I said i wouldnt travel 10000 mls for coffee i did

Simmo, I have my reasons... And the photo is quite a good one.

Z...if you wanted the coffee included in the photo, you should have asked! I know Mike travelled a long way to have coffee with Simmo...but geez... to want the beverage included in the photo is a bit much! tongue

RE: I said i wouldnt travel 10000 mls for coffee i did

Embedded image from another site

RE: I said i wouldnt travel 10000 mls for coffee i did

Thank you, Simmo. blushing

I like to believe there are plenty of authentic people still around, it's just a matter of digging the bodies up.grin

RE: Friends For Life

Hello Nice,

I am exceptionally well. Busy week at work, and I tend to be quite pragmatic when I am busy. Efficiency is what I seek out... so the tourniquet seemed most appropriate.

Although in Australia, a pressure bandage will do... and of course hospital treatment thereafter. I guess it depends on how much you really like John. smile

Catfoot! ... if it's good enough for sheep... should it not be extended to snake bite victims... batting

RE: Friends For Life

Thank you, LouLou... I would even help the victim with make up tips after he changes gender. I am nice that way. laugh

RE: OMG !

...there's still time, Z. One should never back down from a challenge. grin

RE: Friends For Life

What about a tourniquet, Nice... It will drop off eventually. grin

RE: Maybe, CS should have a subdivision..

Thank you, Calli... I am not that far away from 50 as it is. hug

RE: Maybe, CS should have a subdivision..

Calli, there are a few things I need to know. May I have visitation rights? After all, Mike is joining the 50's group in a few months and I feel as though I am being shut out of an exclusive club...

Perhaps a Tuesday night for visiting???laugh

RE: Mixed Emotions

Could it be that you want company tailor made? I would recommend a butler. They answer your door, they keep the house orderly AND if there is a murder... they are always prime suspect. grin

RE: Glückliche Rutsch!

Happy New Year. May your dreams come true!

RE: .....Goodbye To 2013!!!

party hat Happy New Year, Daniel. party hat

Have you ever wondered?

KNenagh...they say you are drawn to people who think like yourself, and you certainly reflect a lot of my own beliefs. An individual is responsible for their own sense of wellbeing.

Your night sounds like it was brilliant. I am glad to hear you had a wonderful night out with friends.

Happy New Year.

Huitzilopochtli ... Gorgeous clip. Happy New Year to you! buddies

Have you ever wondered?

KNenagh ... Thank you for the birthday wishes. Another year older, and I am not sure about wiser. laugh

It's interesting how some people hide behind facades... or like Hyacinth Bucket , they create the illusion they are something other than they are. Keeping up appearances.

When I look around me, I know that my friends have problems to resolve, but life is balanced... we can't have everything all of the time. I wouldn't personally want to be wealthy and it often surprises people to find I don't take Lotto tickets. I have never thought anything was meant to be easy in life for me.

I think you should set the example for us, K... and continue to sparkle. wink I wish you much happiness in the New Year! bouquet

RE: New Year's Eve

Happy New Year, Maluenda. drink pouring

Have you ever wondered?

Angelpepper ... I am soooooooooo glad someone had a drink to bring in the New Year! laugh I was at work last night until 2100 and didn't feel like drinking when I left there. May 2014 bring you a year full of laughter and happiness.

Thank you for the birthday wishes. My phone rang hot yesterday with messages coming through. smile

Calliopesgirl ... Thank you, Calli... I could say he came and left... but that sounds terribly wrong. laugh Happy New Year. teddybear

Redex... The sign? The photo I have up? Mike actually took the photo. We went to Walhalla for the day and this is outside of the Wally Pub, it's where we went for lunch. Walhalla is a mountainside town with only 20 residents. The town is full of heritage buildings and there is an old railway there. It's a lovely place to go for a day out. smile

Thank you for your wishes. I do hope 2014 takes you to new heights too... and maybe you can travel more, meet exciting people and find new places to hide bodies...laugh On a serious note... I hope that 2014 is full of exciting surprises for you!

Have you ever wondered?

Catfoot ...Thank you for the birthday wishes. My mother would have been full term, I am sure she was just thankful that the birthing process was over. I was born at an exceptionally hot time of year, so being pregnant would have been awful. Relief is what comes to mind. laugh

Oddly enough, my daughter was born a few days before Christmas, and you are right... we are just thankful we have a baby.

Nicefeet ... Your comment resonated with me.

It is not so much luck but acute awareness at all times. They place themselves in places of opportunity and can adapt to situations always learning as they go along. This bit particularly.

If success were to be measured by other people's standards, I am not sure I would meet their standard. However, as I don't live to other people's standards ... I am happy with where I am. I always try to look for the bright side of any situation.

Thank you for your wishes. I wish you a wonderful 2014.

GoDaniel... And Happy New Year to you too! It's New Year here now! lol... I went to sleep and woke up to a new year. Thank you for the birthday wishes. hug

Have you ever wondered?

Thank you, Welela... that is lovely.teddybear

RE: happy new year

Hello Market,

Long time no see. Happy New Year.

Have you ever wondered?

Hello Nice, I think you may have the impression that I am searching for something I already have.

Your observations however are quite astute. People who believe in themselves will succeed.

Happy New Year.

Have you ever wondered?

violin You poor dear, Benni... Are we keeping you awake?
