Fearless? She just looks gorgeous to me...She reminds me so much of that dog I had when I was growing up.
There was a fort in the local playground, with a ladder angled on the side of it. I would pretend I was stuck up there and this dog would climb up to get me, when she got there, she was shaking ... but she always came for me.
I can see why you like it. IF I ever have to go and work in Melbourne, I may keep my home here... I believe I will need somewhere to retreat to. I have certainly found it a haven this year working out of Melbourne every week.
Your black and white dog reminds me of one I had when I was growing up. This will sound entirely strange, but I felt as though I should reach out and pat her.
I know you despise personal questions, Bogart...but is that you?
You certainly live an area with wide open spaces? I know very little about Portugal. hmmmm... Between yourself and Z, I am learning about places I never considered visiting.
It's beautiful, Z... I can see why the tourists flock there. My Aunt and Uncle have been several times. I have never had that on my list of places to go, and now I can see perhaps that I have been naïve.
I had a friend ask me to come to Spain with him last year, I considered it...but he had just broken up with another friend and I didn't want to get involved in the rift between them.
We all make mistakes, so there is always going to be time for an individual to say sorry, or to accept they were wrong. It does take an open mind from both parties.
I hope that if this is pertinent to a situation you are experiencing that things get better soon for you.
River Red Gum? I used to play and swim under them, Welela... It's the same as being struck by lightening. Rare. You are more likely to be bitten by a poisonous snake.
Well in all fairness, Z... here we would call it a "Use By" date, but ... it's only a recommendation. You can still put it in your mouth... it's just not as zesty as it once was.
Beautiful photos, Welela. I am afraid my photos are from 2010. It's been awhile since I went up there for a day. I really must do it again... I just need a travel companion. Would you like to join me?
No, Mike... I figured that was the best place for her to learn. So we drove to Walhalla to have lunch together. It's a beautiful drive usually, that is if you aren't praying for your life.
Interesting choice of quote, Boban.. The author of Physical Control of the Mind: Toward a Psychocivilized Society. He was well known for his controversial research.
I am not being defensive. If I were, I would be emotive, clearly that is not the case. I had a similar conversation in the office of a business man a week ago, he said, " Some people live in with world with everything being black and white, but as you and I know... there is a lot of grey."
As for cooking... I am certainly not sitting consistently at the computer. I thought some cool air might be nice, so I walked a couple of blocks to mail a letter before returning. Naively I thought the walk would be beneficial... clearly I should have followed the doctors advice. However, once we have chosen an action, it's very hard to undo it.
Waf, did you just accuse me of not being consistent?
I believe the point I am making is to question an individuals choices in life, is to stand as judge, jury and executioner. It's not always as clear cut as one might think.
To define brainwashing (taken from dictionary.com)-
1. a method for systematically changing attitudes or altering beliefs, originated in totalitarian countries, especially through the use of torture, drugs, or psychological-stress techniques.
2. any method of controlled systematic indoctrination, especially one based on repetition or confusion: brainwashing by TV commercials.
3. an instance of subjecting or being subjected to such techniques: efforts to halt the brainwashing of captive audiences.
Do you truly believe that defending ones nation can be considered brainwashing?
As for changing ones opinions as one ages... that is experience, wisdom... Sadly youth does not come armed with those pre-requisites , so they learn as they go.
Welcome to Gippsland
