RE: Meeting someone - what works for you?

I have a bit of OCD, so you can imagine what it's going to be like for Mike if he doesn't fold the towels correctly?? laugh My friends and family often pick on me because they open a cupboard and it's like a retail display.

...He will get used to it, or maybe I will just adapt to not having everything lined up perfectly.

uncertain

You will find that special someone, K. I believe in you! angel2

RE: Meeting someone - what works for you?

My goodness... YOU blog as I leave?! I have waited so long for this moment!

What works for me is honesty and integrity, an ability to communicate is very important. And an acceptance that as I am over 40 I have some rather ingrained habits. They aren't always good habits. laugh

Oddly enough, I don't believe in stepping forward with your best either... if someone likes you for who you are, then... that is ideal.

"The time has come"

Redwinebluesky ... Thank you for your well wishes. I had no idea, laugh that an exit report was required. But yes, this could certainly be defined as a success.

"The time has come"

Welela teddybear Thank you for being that consistent bright spark in the blogs for me, Welela. I have enjoyed interacting with you.

RE: aussie aussie aussie oi oi oi

Wishing you much luck with that, Jace.

"The time has come"

Iotaoo... Any feeling of sadness for a loss is reflective of what something has meant to you. I am not referring to me in this instance, but more a feeling of loss for something you may have had in the past. Perhaps you simply miss being in a relationship yourself. wine

"The time has come"

Iotaoo... Interesting observation. Perhaps I was on a 'picnic' because I had already met Mike before we ever made acquaintance. After I met Mike, I certainly did become more of a guest. I was biding time until things were settled.

I live a busy life, so my visits were random at best. It's been an intriguing year for me. I have completed a Diploma , done several other courses and ... I have been training staff in the city once again. I have renovated my home. But mostly what I have done is waited. I have discovered that I don't wait as patiently or as graciously as I should have.

Thank you for your well wishes.

"The time has come"

Johnny_Sparton ...we met on the blogs here, Johnny. So it's an affirmative to that. Last year, I booked a tour of the Imperial Cities of Europe and then another tour of the UK/Ireland. With the second tour, Mike and I discovered that I was coming to a place that was within half an hour of where he resided (Blarney Wool Mills) so we met for coffee. The rest is history...so to speak.

Your time will come, Johnny. You will find that person you are searching for too. hug

"The time has come"

Simmo1 ... it was never my intention to rush away to a business meeting. grin

I guess this means that you can continue your catch up with Mike... but not this weekend. laugh His jetlag will be awful.

"The time has come"

Scouse27 ... um. blushing

"The time has come"

Z... laugh I will make sure he comes and reads that himself. He was ever so close and not quite there.

"The time has come"

Scouse27 scold You make that sound like I hunted him down. laugh

Seriously though... it's been quite interesting. Thank you for being here.

"The time has come"

Angelpepper... I will make sure that Mike comes in and says farewell to everyone himself. He does have remarkably good manners at times. wink

"The time has come"

KNenagh--Ditto! I know this will not be the last time I cross paths with you! You really are quite remarkable. bouquet

"The time has come"

KNenagh ...wink You had me at hello. I have always looked forward to crossing paths with you. I will truly miss not knowing where your life takes you.

I wish you so much happiness, K. teddybear

"The time has come"

Jarred1... I am number 10? To leave ? I do have to go... for me, the journey here is complete. smile

"The time has come"

Angelpepper ... Thank you so much for always being optimistic in the blogs. I am quite sure your smile brightens many people's day.

RE: The day I forgot my good manners

I am sure they will forgive you!

There was an earthquake here a year or so ago and I experienced that... the room shook, the noise was deafening and I was expelled from my chair... I was at work during this, so my instant response was to check on everyone else. Although the guy I was working with simply shrugged his shoulders and said , " Oh well...it's just an earthquake". smile

RE: Americans are seriously valuable.

Reclusive works for me too, Z. smile

RE: Americans are seriously valuable.

Z... you could always pay someone! rolling on the floor laughing

RE: Americans are seriously valuable.

RE: Americans are seriously valuable.

RE: Americans are seriously valuable.

Just a wee problem with this... I don't like the smell of cigarette smoke. scold
