Agreed Bogart... and leaving things undone... is it really worth it? To hold onto something destructive and hurtful... best to forgive and move forward.
Thank you, Catfoot. I have a folder full of stunning photos to remind me where I have been. Anything to evoke a memory. :) Niagara Falls really is stunning.
The bothersome thing with that quote thing is that on the forum boards, it is done for you with a button, here ...they have not done so
I have always said I live the perfect distance from family... about 45 minutes. It means I see them fairly regularly. When I called my brother last night, he invited me to Sunday lunch next week, but I explained to him as I only have one day off, I have already accepted an invite elsewhere for next week, but I thanked him and said I would make an effort for the following week.
I will see some of them again tomorrow, but sadly this time it's for a funeral. What I have found though, is that funerals are fantastic places to reminisce and celebrate someones life.
I called him tonight Raven, to see how he is holding up...There was a family lunch there today, but it would have been another 45 minute drive each way to attend, so I missed it. And today is my only day off this week, so best if I did some housework.
I imagine with your sister being close that you share friends ...the same as I do with my brother?
Sorry St Elmo... I read your message wrong, I thought you said 'meeting people' ... you said 'meeting with people' and yes... that is what it's all about, like minded people
Not exactly meeting, St Elmo... I have known most of the crowd for well over 20 years. But what a brilliant get together... We danced, the food was brilliant.. .the band was brilliant... and mostly we laughed and enjoyed ourselves.
The only problem with my life at times is keeping up with a social calender while I am working.
The photo was taken a couple of hours away from here. I was on one of my trips and I just got out of the car to take the photo. Much of the local scenery here is spectacular.
Welela---He had a wonderful night. I didn't leave until well after 2am. Our family was there, many had travelled hours to get there. And of course, his friends are great.
You are most welcome, I always find your blogs are uplifting and positive... and enjoy the read.
St Elmo... Thank you for making me smile. I had the message I was dreading a little while ago, but this made me smile. See... it really is the little things in life.
The Dash
Thank you, Delatude... I had a few minutes before I had to board a train to the city this afternoon, and this ran fluently through my thoughts.
