Fotinia... I was out walking in my garden at 6am. It's raining , birds are tweeting and the flowers are abundant... it's exceptionally beautiful.

Z... I agree. The quality of gardening has not been high lately. It's almost like people aren't watering , or even choosing plants that benefit the landscape.

Simmo... Simmo, there are several ways I can take your question... but suffice to say I have professional pruners.

As for the handymen, well let's just say ... while the saga is ongoing, I am dealing with it.

Daniel, I was in Massachusetts in Autumn last year and I agree... it's beautiful. I loved Boston.

But in my own backyard, I favour Spring.

Francie2013 --- Thank you. I never knew I would have a garden, as a child I always used to say I was going to have concrete, and paint it green. But maybe I did that because my mother was a mad gardener.

Catfoot --- This has nothing to do with luck... Every year in October, my garden bursts forth in flower , the birds chirp all day... it's spectacularly beautiful.

However, I actually find dismally cold weather to have a charm all of it's own. Sorry you missed out on your fishing trip.

I am glad you had a wonderful time with Trinity. At least that Princess doesn't require you to slay dragons, to climb towers, to raise a sword... that Princess falls readily into your arms full of giggles and love.

... AND it is Friday night, so naturally I would assume you have been out for after work drinks.

I agree Simmo, I have been to the US for Spring a couple of times and it's incredible. There is something... in the air, and I definitely have a weakness for it.

Hailstones... now THOSE I could do without. I think they would hurt Wolfy ( my car) ... and I wouldn't like that.

The scents are pretty incredible... it is so nice to get home from work and wander around my garden at the moment.
