@ Ian158 - As I have mentioned in the blogs before: The soul/life-force is made of energy.... energy can be changed but not destroyed..... nothing in nature is wasted, therefore it is quite conceivable that your soul will be re-used..... every living thing has a soul or it wouldn't be able to survive.... grin cheers
'Life' after death is an interesting choice of words. laugh

I've had a near death experience that was terribly interesting.
I have 2 stories to tell....

10 years ago ,i went to a friends for a dinner party..there was six of us, after dinner Paul, my long time friend said shall we do a quija board, I've heard you shouldn't mess with these but I've an open mind. I declined to sit at the table, instead write the letters down.

it started with the usual is anyone there ?..yes..have you a message? ..yes...whats the message?...look after him?..who...ian (me) and so it goes on.

now..its was my dad saying to my wife that she should look after me and that he was sorry for what he did to my mum.bearing in mind I never went to my dads funeral..i hated him for what he did.

I then had to take over asking the questions because i wanted to ask question no one in that room knew. First question.....what is the name of Garys 4 kids.

Myles, Adam Oly and Aby...now he spelt all the names correctly , Oliver was always called Oly..but Abigail was not called Aby..her mum did not like it... But I thought maybe my wife's mind was transferring to the glass and spelling out the names..so i asked him the name of our dog when I was a kid ... SUE !..wow you got me now, my wife didn't even know that.

All of my friends looked at me and said is that true..yes !...they all stood up and that was it, game over and my wife ran outside crying and wanted to go home.

Now the next morning I told my brother and sister in law..it wasn't until i said he said Abi that my sister in law cried...she said it was only Roy, my dad, thats was allowed to call her that..now even i didn't know that as i didn't have a relationship with him for 7 years up until he died in 1995.

So..how do you explain that ?
Just a quick hello to say YES, I believe, I also agree with Hans and will get back to you later.thumbs up wave angel
You know that thing about if you look at someone you draw their attention towards you, even if you're hiding, or behind them? How do you explain that?

I think some of this might be in Oliver Sacks' book The Man Who Mistook His Wife For A Hat. It has case studies in it detailing instances neurological disconnection in patients in an attempt to explore certain aspects of cognitive function.

I'm dragging this out of my memory from a quarter of a century ago, but if I remember rightly, it's thought some 94% of neurones go from the eye to the bit of the brain that processes sight in one pathway and 6% follow a different, or different pathways. That idea was used to explain how some people who had a disconnection in the 94% pathway (either through brain injury, or disease) were technically blind, but could point to objects in the room they couldn't see. That 6% pathway remaining intact might also explain how we have a 'sixth sense' and have our attention drawn to someone looking at us even when we can't see them. We 'feel their eyes upon us.

Another linked case study was a man who had the disconnection in the 6% pathway which gave him a sense of unreality. He was so convinced that his father was an android, apparently he cut off his head to prove it. A bit late to say, sorry dad.

Anyway, if we don't fully understand how our cognitions, neurology, or some gestalt of that perhaps termed 'soul', or 'spirit' works, how can we begin to explain how your phenomenon with the ouija board occurred?

Perhaps the important thing is to take something from it that means something for you, especially given the power is (at least in part) within you.
I appreciate we use very little or our brain..which is why I thought maybe we are giving th glass the message to it and answering it ourselves..it wasn't until the morning when i found out what my dad called Abigail..it hit home.

Do I believe in life after death..no...god..no

Well not until I see it for myself..shaking their hands will I be convinced..otherwise its all unexplained to me.

Part 2 tomorrow that happened to me Jan 4th 2014..
If we could be giving the glass the message when using a ouija board, how do you know that you hadn't received the message about your dad abbreviating Abigail's name?
well I do believe in incarnation
I believe that our soul is immortal
I do not think its religious or anything to do with boards but Hans has right idea JMOpeace
Oh Bung hug I am so sorry but you seem well okay now.teddybear

Hi Ian

I view the experiences, such as what you and others have described, as paranormal experiences in which there is an interaction of the reality of some other frequency dimension or universe with that of our ordinary day-to-day world.

All frequencies of the electromagnetic spectrum can be present together and occupy the same space simultaneously. This is demonstrated by the presence of frequencies from the various radio and television stations being present in space. We can select a particular station by tuning in our radio or television receiver to its frequency which enables us to receive its broadcast only.

A band of frequencies constitute a dimension or universe.
There are a multiple number of dimensions, meaning that there are multiple universes. Each dimension has its own specific frequencies and wavelengths. Our consciousness is normally tuned in to the 3rd dimension. However, life in the universe is not limited to the 3rd dimension; it is just that we cannot see the other realities that exist, because those realities have different frequencies and wavelengths that do not correspond to our 3D senses. Therefore, our physical existence on Earth is simply one of many infinite realities in the “Multidimensional Universe.”

I believe that when we die, our consciousness, soul, spirit or whatever, enters into a different dimension with a different frequency or vibration from that which we can normally feel or sense in ordinary day-to-day life. If someone is able to tune in to that frequency range, he/she may receive messages or signals from those who have "died" and entered that dimension. This is similar to the reception of broadcasts from various radio stations or television channels, where we need to tune in to the operating frequency of a particular station or channel.

Those signals are always present in what is referred to as the "ether" around us. In fact, the ether is loaded with signals of different frequencies or dimensions. I think that certain people like a “medium” in a séance, or a shaman, may be able to tune in to those other frequencies or dimensions, and to communicate with others who exist in those dimensions. It is also possible that such communication may occur through "dreams", and strange, mysterious and "unnatural" experiences.
