Reason, Season, or Lifetime

People come into your life for a reason, a season or a lifetime.
When you figure out which one it is,
you will know what to do for each person.

When someone is in your life for a REASON,
it is usually to meet a need you have expressed.
They have come to assist you through a difficulty;
to provide you with guidance and support;
to aid you physically, emotionally or spiritually.
They may seem like a godsend, and they are.
They are there for the reason you need them to be.

Then, without any wrongdoing on your part or at an inconvenient time,
this person will say or do something to bring the relationship to an end.
Sometimes they die. Sometimes they walk away.
Sometimes they act up and force you to take a stand.
What we must realize is that our need has been met, our desire fulfilled; their work is done.
The prayer you sent up has been answered and now it is time to move on.

Some people come into your life for a SEASON,
because your turn has come to share, grow or learn.
They bring you an experience of peace or make you laugh.
They may teach you something you have never done.
They usually give you an unbelievable amount of joy.
Believe it. It is real. But only for a season.

LIFETIME relationships teach you lifetime lessons;
things you must build upon in order to have a solid emotional foundation.
Your job is to accept the lesson, love the person,
and put what you have learned to use in all other relationships and areas of your life.
It is said that love is blind but friendship is clairvoyant.

I've had my reason...she lasted 6 years
Ive been having my seasons

Now waiting for my lifetime.....

You ?
Anyone have a reason for a season that will last a lifetime.
Hi Ian, wave the only reason I ever had was a rebound, otherwise I had a few seasons. One of them I thought would last a lifetime.

At this stage, through my own experience and just looking around - I think there might be the possibility of other seasons, but I don't believe in the lifetime thing anymore.

Which is really a shame.
You must have been reading my mind. I have actually been pondering on these very thoughts today.
The season one I find the hardest but it is true. These people often leave a handprint on your heart ..never to be forgotten yet only abide with us like you said for a season l

Well thought out blog Ian, thanks for posting yay all are good and hold out hearts for a time heart wings
Some people come into our lives and quickly go, some people move our soul to dance, they awaken us to new understanding, with the passing whisper of their wisdom. Some people make the sky more beautiful to gaze upon, they stay in our lives for a while, leave footprints on our hearts,,,,,and we are never ever the same again!!!
One has to watch out for the manipulator.
Sorry Ian, I don't think I have a reason for a season that will last a lifetime,,,,,only the footprints
Yep Johnny! Manipulators love this poem....and they love telling you that God says you have to forgive and forget their manipulations and trust over and over and over....doh ...frustrated .....telling you how judgmental you are for wiping the dust off your feet and moving forward...rolling on the floor laughing
Some people talk and talk
and never say a thing
some people look at you and birds begin to sing.

Some people laugh and laugh
and yet you want to cry
some people touch your hand
and music fills the sky.

we don't meet people by accident
they are meant cross our path for
a reason.

In this uncertain life circle nothing is certain. Some become sweet unforgettable memories. some become painful memories that we try to forget. I am in the middle always. Have a wonderful day IAN.

Good looking photo theresawine have a good day!
I never see my half as a reason, seasons of life time...

He came he came, he's gone, he's gone. I could be a reason for him, he could be a reason for me. One thing for sure that I would always appreciate every single day I have with him till he changes his direction of our relationship and the day we finally decide to go with our own direction...
