I have run into that here on CS with some users, mostly the ones who just have a bunch of ***** in their profile. If/when you write them, you will get a reply some friend wrote for them. LoL maybe the persona you target is not half as interesting (or boring) as the one writing back in their name.
LoL also to the bare chested drunk in the back of the bus who scams the girls into bed by claiming his family died last month. Doesn't he realize this kind of scammer is what the girls are trying to get away from. No, he is just a bum who goes through life scamming which is probably why the GF he speaks of left him anyway.
Here in the US it is really hard and ridiculously expensive to get both a future wife and her kid Visas to come into America. Too many in past decades came in, got quickie divorces, then turned around and imported their real husbands and boyfriends from back home, so procedures for entry were made harder. So I feel sorry for the nice woman with the kid at home. Ir is much easier for the American to move to their country, but of course, why would he and give up the freedoms he or she has here?
Regarding the Iraq vet, yes maybe, then maybe not. Lots of young men who hid at home running around claiming they put on a uniform and picked up a gun and went over there when President Bush asked us to. Very few of them are real. We saw lots of street bums claiming combat fatigue from the police action in Vietnam after that was over, but very few of them had ever even been in the military and the reasons for their failure in life had nothing to do with what happened outside the US. Scammers all. General rule of thumb for foreign women. Be leary of the American with the head shaved bald at an early age who is not actually in the military. Sometimes that is an indicator of a pshychological problem or even a gang membership signal (aka Arryan Brotherhood). Watch out also for jail house and gang tattoos.

Watching that video made me quite upset - am originally Russian, 20 years in South Africa already but the perception on "russian or ukrainian brides" of many men here is quite wrong and sometimes even sick. Many of them are just taking an advantage of the girls, not really understanding their culture or reality they liviing in, the actual problems they have that side. Same story I will say regarding malaysin girls or reason men from different countries are coming to Thailand.
BTW I came here not as a bride - my late husband wanted to move to South Africa.
