Contrary to Good Friday
In the bible, it is said that Jesus rose on the crack of dawn (or early) Sunday morning. That is when the women and then some of his followers when to the grave site and found it empty. So a basic math that any child can do brings us to a different day for the death (crucifixion) of this amazing man.
Jesus and the texts say that he was to be in the grave for 3 days and 3 nights.
So lets count back,
Previous Saturday night - 1
Previous Saturday - 1
Previous Friday night - 2
Previous Friday - 2
Previous Thursday night - 3
Previous Thursday - 3
I don't think that my math is incorrect. Of course I am open to those who have a different calculation method that fits three days and three nights into Easter from Easter Friday to Easter Sunday....
This brings us to the ultimate conclusion that Easter is not the time or accurate reflection of this momentous event remembered by so many, and also loathed by so many.
It is, instead, the substitution and observance of the pagan festival still, with Christ slapped as a thin paint job over the top of it.
Happy holiday everyone.

If He has risen,He has risen, stop worrying about a few hours difference!

Agree to disagree....and "Amen" to Conrad's comment...to all who believe, "He is Risen"angel
AMEN! AND AMEN! Conrad and Avias! Non-essentials profits nothing and essentials profits much. Christians would care less as to when Jesus was born, crucified, raised from the dead, and promises to return, or the times or dates means not one thing to those who have faith to believe according to what is written that these things did happen this is essential... Nothing else matters.
Months of the year and dates of the week are also pagan, so I suppose we must throw everything we do in celebrating in the months, weeks, and year out the window, because its all of paganism including the celebrating of our own birthdays, funerals, and of course, memorials, etc.
Hal, isn't it more so written: One person esteems one day above another; another esteems every day alike. Let each be fully convinced in his own mind. He who observes the day, observes it to the Lord; and he who does not observe the day, to the Lord he does not observe it. He who eats, eats to the Lord, for he gives God thanks; and he who does not eat, to the Lord he does not eat, and gives God thanks. For none of us lives to himself, and no one dies to himself. For if we live, we live to the Lord; and if we die, we die to the Lord. Therefore, whether we live or die, we are the Lord’s. For to this end Christ died and rose and lived again, that He might be Lord of both the dead and the living." Romans 14.... Again, I say nothing else matter!
Therefore I ask what's your point if you profess and confess to being a Christian? You started out questioning in your OP the time and dates of how long Jesus stayed in the grave, now you've gone to stating that Christmas and Easter are not to be celebrated. What's up?

The intent of raising this issue, isn't to start a 'religious debate' but to:
a) encourage people to use their God given senses and minds,
b) to read things for what is actually written and come to conclusions for themselves,
c) and to not just to go along with something that has been established and presented as 'the truth' or 'the answer' because others simply say so or believe so.
Of course, people do respond, in all manner of ways. Everyone has a choice whether to read it, or not. Everyone has a choice whether to respond or not.
That is what it is all about. Choice. It is about each deciding for themselves based on the evidence that they find, and then living with that choice and in that choice.
Have a happy holiday.
There are different timezones for each country. Also for different parts of that country. So! Maybe go by that country/area timezone. IMO.
