Best episode of Dr Who in this century?
So I am wondering. Which Dr Who episode (21st century episodes only please) do you consider to be the best?I was (possibly for s*xual reasons) initially leaning towards the ones with Rose in it, but then Amy and Martha Jones got my attention too. I was of course delighted to see the return of K9 after 40 years absence and I was kept fairly confused at first by Clara.
But for me, the best episode thus far lays not in the episode itself but the implications a not so harmless good deed will forevermore pose for a young Viking girl this week.
I refer of course to the episode known as, The Girl Who Died.
As we wait for part II to air we are left to ponder the implications of having someone make you utterly immortal at a young age. Your parents age, wither and die, so do your friends, and their children too. Even the trees grow old and die around you. Meanwhile you are as you always have been, young and unchanged forever. Ponder the implications of knowing everything you see, anyone you ever meet or love, all of them will die and in the end it is only you. And of course an ever growing desire for revenge on the one who so cursed you.

Actually, I DO know the best one. David Tennant and Catherine Tate in Runaway Bride. It got a little manic at the end but there were moments of pure genius.
I didn't like that episode, Ken, probably for the same reasons you did - it stuck in my head and worried me. But I didn't see your later comment at the time and oh YES Cap'n Jack and she should have spent time together! Mind you, maybe they did and that was why she became so angry ...
