What a sad life!

Just this Monday, a famous Filipino movie director passed away at the age of 49 due to a heart attack. Yes, they say people who died of heart attack is getting younger. But the circumstance in which he died is very saddening. His sister had a heart attack earlier and he followed her to the hospital. Upon learning that she was DOA, he suffered an attack too. Now the family lost 2 well meaning members. Very tragic! May they rest in peace.

Genetics...We all carry within ourselves the seeds of our own destruction.

I'm sorry to here of your nail head situation.
Interesting way of phrasing it...I've not heard it before.
Another - Some days you're the windshields...
Some days you're the bug. sigh

`Mic, thanks for being my first poster. Iam not a language expert. That nail thing is just a common phrase used by many expats here in Japan. I just borrowed it as it seems fitting to my case. The staff didn't say I am dismissed. the exact word is I'm on holiday, just a rest. But when I asked up to when she couldn't tell. So, what can I do? If things go like this, Iam thinking of marrying someone to feed me and the dogs back home.laugh

An old friend of mines mother died suddenly in the kitchen of a heart attack.4 hours later his dad died from the trauma..again a heart attack...devastating.
Sometimes things have a way of working out.
Perhaps losing your job will be a good thing for a very fortunate man.
I'm wishing the very best for you, Tatami. flower

I remember a phrase we use here...
Some days you're the hammer.
Some days you're the nail.

Yes, that is very sad, Tatami!!
@Calli, thanks for dropping by. Iam indeed honored to have most of the well meaning CS members dropping at my post. Sad news really. But in my side of the fence a bit of good news as I'd be starting on a new job tomorrow. I hope there'll be no bad angels. It's the biggest factory I've worked so far. Wish me luck!!heart wings bouquet
Great news tatami, yay and best of luck with the job!
@K, thanks for the follow up cheering. Here in Japan, conformity is the norm. It's not that I'm a thorn to everyone. It's just that if some Filipina go with some Jmen and women with the after work eat out or maybe more and you're the one who doesn't, then you get the ire of someone. I just hope I'd last this time around. And I hope there'll be lots of overtime work. I need it both for my pocket and to make my time worthwhile and less boring. Besides got to send some to my home country. The pet dogs are now 5. Lucky the newly born is only one. Very surprising to conceive only one puppy. I'm used to seeing lots. Once again, thank you @K for your concern.teddybear heart wings bouquet
