No Joke, today is St Georges day - England's patron saint. The anniversary of his death, which is on April 23, is seen as England's national day. According to legend, he was a soldier in the Roman army who killed a dragon and saved a princess.

My father, an Irishman, was born on this day 1916 , he departed this world Aug 2000, we have a French sounding surname.

I celebrate this day, as my fathers birthday, despite being British,

Have a blessed day cheers
