! ! ! BOOKS ! ! !

Ppl said that books are our true friends , i agree.
Ppl said that books gives us knowledge , i agree.

But books dont tell us what is the happiness , when you achive something.
Books never tell us what is the pain of defeat.

There is soo many great writers and poeters on blogs.
Everyone write on the sucess of someone or achivment of someone.
Everyone salutes to the riseing SUN.

I want to ask you all .
Did you ever read or write on anyones who defeat and never win in his life.

If no then sorry , you are not writers , you are only write for fakeness.

Bcs defeated person has more courage and strength , think about it how he
make himself again and restart to try it again.

Take it in +ve way .
Dont get angry its reality & truth is always bitter.

So Write On Them Too.

Lots of great writers have, but it takes a great writer to be able to dwell on depression, darkness and defeat and get people to read it.

Most of us read for entertainment and escape, to travel vicariously, to experience new things, to be relaxed and amused. Human nature.

The darker our own lives, the more we need to be lifted out of that. Even books which triumph over misery can be hard to read during the misery parts.

JMO.
doh doh oh peedman go to poets corner plenty poems of sadness, defeat and joys too of course. Go and read here at poets corner and you can feel the emotions through the page. You will weep, you will nod your head, and you will laugh and feel great love through the poems.handshake hug
The definitive example of a book like that Elegsa (IMHO)
is 'The Denial of Death' by Ernest Becker. Left me flattened for a week, but it's a consummate masterpiece (won him a posthumous pulitzer actually), but due to it's grim content, should not be touched by anyone.

It just popped into my head as you mentioned great writers who can 'dwell on depression and darkness' as you say , yet still find an audience.
Another good point, doc. I know people that hated the book 'Flowers for Algernon', and it's not my typical reading choice. Yet every few years I re-read it. I hated the ending, but Charlie's visit to the Warren Home revealed his humanity in a way few of us can live up to.
thanks all
Thanks Chameleon. Flowers for Algernon is on a list of clangers for me.
(ie. books I really should have read by now).

I'll take a run at it though, as it certainly seems to have moved you, even though you acknowledge it was a hard read and yep it's often those difficult books that stay with you and shape you the most.
Welcome Peednama!
doc :
you are my old friend leo ?
Hey there,
Oh my gosh everybody is asking me if I'm this Leon guy. Nope I'm not.
I'd like to see this guys profile as it's so strange to be asked so much.
What's his username I wonder as I'd like to search.?
Doc. He's deleted his profile as he's having a sulk at the moment.

As I said you may look like him and have his charisma but your writing is nothing like his.

Talking about poetry..as Redex says there's plenty of sad poetry in the poets corner and Leony's was one of them.
Denila:
I dont know about anyone but Leony is a nice person.
I really feel bad to know from you that he delete his profile.
&
thanks
Doc :
Yes everyone is right , you are really looking like him.
Like one body two souls.
Wow that's interesting thank you Peednama,
Daniela actually kindly directed me to his work in the poetry section but his profile and pics have been removed, so I'll never find out how much I look like the guy. Maybe I should change my pics so people can tell us apart. Thank you anyway.
Yes Peed I agree Leon is a very nice person who cared for so many here.
He might come back..eventually.

Doc. Yes maybe a different pic would do the trick?
peed go read some of my works in poets corner you might like some of what you find.
Yeah I thought Doc was Leon too for a moment lol I hope he is doing good he was a hell of a nice guy!
Shaken :
Thanks , yes i read .
