Just what is it about yawns, and contagious yawning?

What are the reasons behind this common human (and animal) behavior? Reading my blogs and posts, of course, will automatically do so, as with other tedious experiences. But sleepiness, cold, fear, and much else seems to bring them on. And they can certainly spread in a group of people, almost anywhere. Many animals yawn as well. And there are reports if interspecies yawning. Sometimes when presenting an errudire technical scientific argument to Bravo, he just looks lovingly at me, and lets go a huge noisy yawn. Tames my thoughts of self importance in a New York minute. Aa.

why is it when my dog yawns, i don't and when i yawn, he doesn't? curious
We think we are directing their behaviors, but the shoe is mostly on the other paw, no? Aa..
when it comes to naps, we do influence each other
Yep, seems to work that way. And when I sit down to eat, Bravo somehow immediately seems completely in sync. Aa.
you should post a picture of Bravo
Thanks, F. Yes, perhaps that would be fun. But I am not the best at this computer stuff. I should ask an expert for help. The twins of course can do so, but I think they are sick of Dad asking them how to do stuff on the computer. Guess who foots the bills for college, though? Kids. Gotta love 'em. Aa.
Ah, yes. You can take the lady out of Spain, but rarely the class of Spain out of the lady. Chica, a gustos, no hay nada escrita. Verdad? Robertito.
Thanks, F. Writing this all down, as I've done so many times as instructed by the girls. Hope with your clear note, I'll be luckier this time. Actually, tons of such stuff one would like to place on blogs or posts. Aa.
Crossing your arms, folding and unfolding your legs, fidgeting, playing with your hair, and yawning are all things a person may do not to die of anxiety. It's a distraction.

You might yawn in someone's face to show how much better you are than them, or you might copy someone elses yawn to express solidarity with that person. Empathy is a weird thing which can be as divisive and cruel as it is understanding and harmonious.

Classic yawning, yawning because you're tired, is the hardest to explain.
freehand, he hasn´t got a dog and all the keys are stuck down on his keyboard, no doubt he has to prise the screen open too

Straining at the limits of my essence here. And BTW, don't THEY sort of really have US? Aa.
Got as far as upload. Of course, then couldn't rotate his handsome face. Progress, not perfection. Aa.
try cropping it first. that sometimes works

I'm guessing you are extremely bored Ash...and are taking on the misleading role of 'protector'...
BL -divisive empathy is a more appropo term than the overuse of polarizing thumbs up
You are really trying Ash....10/10 for effort....but your misleading use of the English Language...leaves all but avery few...scratching their heads....JMHO.. .

Well, Ash, they are of course totally loved, but as with many kids, have their challenging moments. Aa.
As you were saying Aa...Petulance IS over rated.listen to music
Thanks, A. But big words such as petulance may well exceed C's abilities. She seems to have a preference for the much simpler four letter variety. Real mark of a truely classy female. Aa.
We can rest our case concerning that benthic deposit from CH. But I would only add that the rapid shift to such angry scatology makes me wonderr if it just might be fueled by some cheap alcohol. And with C, the operative word is always "cheap". Aa.
Thanks, Ash. Once again, regrettably so, we see that the apple never falls far from the branch. I may be on to something with the mention of alcohol. Tends to lubricate good and not so good behaviors alike. Aa.
I'm sure Unla and Biff will be very interested to see you interfering with their forum comments...

You both leave a very bad, acrid taste in the mouth....
Thanks, Ash. Profound and prolific. As the lower forms of humanity characteristically circle wagons, pathetically trying to recruit "friends"---who likely barely tolerate them, in futile attempts at self defense. Real self defense might involve an anger management course or two, recorking bottles, and reading more than writing. A lot to ask for from some. Off to the French group. Later all. Aa
'recorking bottles'...?!...wow
As if. talk to hand
Not gonna happen. snooty
