Concealed/open carry.

Was told by a sweet elderly neighbor, whose hubby just left for a better place, that she knew of a young fellow who has done work for her, and who might be willing to help me place a metal roof on the front of the 400 room Aa Mansion. So I went to see him, just up the street, where he was doing some light carpentry work for his granny. The extended family was sitting in the yard, feeding the black flies, as he approached me, shook hands, and we discussed the work. He was strapped to a side arm, a revolver, and when I went back to meet the family, noticed that all 8 of them were as well, elderly men and females too. I am happy for our precious second ammendment, and don't carry myself. But even though being raised around firearms, every time I have such an encounter, it shakes me up a little. When I adopted Bravo, his people were also carrying, all with holstered high capacity nines. I guess when I reflect on these odd strong feelings, what comes to mind is the enormous power over life and death accorded to those choosing to carry. Actually, I recall similar feelings as a young boy. Mr. Domingo was our insurance man, and in those days, these folks came around to collect premium payments. Rumor had it that he held heat, supposedly due to carrying cash. Interesting. Aa.

I saw an interesting meme...

ISIS - 'We have 71 of our soldiers in 15 states.'
Murka - 'We have 80 million gun owners who love cartoons. Your move, Sparkey!'

Yep, Micman. Sort of like the sign on the fences of owners of guard dogs, usually with a pic of one that resembles our Bravo.. "Killer can reach the fence in 2.5 seconds. Can you?" Aa.

Another...
A business in Oklahoma had been broken into a number of times.
The owner finally went out to the prairie & caught a few rattlesnakes, which he'd release in his place of business each night.
He also placed a sign in the window, 'These premises protected after hours by rattlesnakes.'

The break ins ceased.
He was also informed by the fire department that should his business catch fire at night - it would be allowed to burn to the ground.
Told as a true story.
