Charles manson

For living within the law, he was able to "enjoy" 5 decades of his life without working thanks to the tax paying citizens. 'Twas such a loooong life in contrast to the very lives of people they just snuffed out. Yet till the very end he couldn't be forgiven. How can you forgive one who wasn't asking for forgiveness? Such a crazy being and such a crazier world for letting him live that looooong. A heave of sigh, though! And how many of them who like him are still living inside way too long?uh oh

Hello tatami, wave Charles manson, living 5 decades without working was probably more like existing.5 decades without working. Here in Canada ,theres no death penalty, the powers that be have decided No one has the right to take a life, I wish those powers that be would tell this to murderers, before they kill someone.confused
@Cat, thanks for being my first this time. Yes, dead and brutal but true, even if I'm not a tax payer there, I'd say good riddance!! Been absent for too long! Been busy story telling about the birds, the bees and the flowers!!grin bouquet
@1to, that's the problem of modernity. Seems like everyone would just accept the fact that someone else's relative was murdered and would try to "rehabilitate" the murderer and would try to humanize him to grieve for his crime which I just think only few honestly do. I'm not saying that the old wild wild west when one fight tooth for tooth is better. The judicial system sometimes has a downside to it. Thanks for sharing!bouquet
@Aa, how easy it was for him to turn those wealthy delinquents into blind followers. Parallel to this last phrase blind followers, see how it affects my country. They think that their guru/idol is infallible. Indeed blind followers. Blind followers imposing their own beliefs into other people. Blind followers are scary even till now to the point of radicalism. Seeing the old pictures of those delinquents attending their hearing with all smiles. No repentance at all!! The drugs they took must have disassociated all their brain ions and made them feel superior from the rest of the human race. Or they play victim of the wily world just to get a lesser jail time? The world has so many dramatic plots!!
If this man was tried today he would be in a mental instituion. He did not kill anyone he incited women to do that.

Now i do not know about you but yes i could be persuded to do many a thing, BUT deep down inside killing is against being sane and human.

What happened to the women who did the killing?

If you think being in prison for over 50 years was a picnic, then i suggest you go and look at a lifers prison.

Look at all the info coming out now if you did not know it before when it happened, put it into todays legal system and conclusions would have been soo different.
@Red, yes to all you've said. I just wrote "enjoy" because he didn't have to rush every morning to catch a train nor fall along a long line of traffic just to be on time to punch the time card. He didn't have to pay for his health check ups nor the medicines, he didn't have to step toe thru snow come winter time when shopping, he didn't even have to carry loads of grocery bags as their food is given to them free. All of these and other freebies are given free albeit not without grudge. In exchange for these freebies are some suppressed freedom which is just fair enough but not really that enough to deter would be crime violators. Still their lives are better than the homeless who are out on the streets, rain or shine , summer or winter. To think that there are some homeless who sleep thru the winter night and never wake up the following morning. In cases like these, Manson's life for so many decades is way better I think. And just maybe he was that untouchable too inside. Otherwise, he could have ended up dead long long ago. Thanks for being the first rose among the knights here!bouquet
Yep life can is is tough at times, but even a homeless person has freedom to move and experince life and try to make it better.

solitary for 50 years i would rather sleep in the outdoors.

But truly i do understand what you are getting at, but at least you can feel, guilt happiness, sadness achievment, he i think felt nothing
@ Tatami what you just said well wrote thumbs up
So what happens to his carcass? I assume it will just be buried deep enough so it doesn't give the worms indigestion or render the soil unable to grow grass.
I hear i dont say,,, they are sprucing up the moon as a criminal colony for similar convicts.dunno laugh
