ATTN: Native English speakers please.

Is there another way you can interpret this poem other than it's coming from a dead person ?

Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there. I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry;
I am not there. I did not die.

Thank you in advance. bouquet

New to blogs. lol

Never blogged here before but thought I would give it a try.
Or to be honest, I'm bored and have nothing else to do.

The future will happen tomorrow, no matter what you do today,
So live and enjoy the moment, your choice to make it what you may,
Like a Lotus flower, that starts life deep in the murky swampy pond,
For life it strives to the surface, reaching for the sky and then beyond.

When finally it reaches sunlight, it spreads its leaves around its bud,
Then blossoms to a thing of beauty, different from its origins of mud,
Delicate soft petals abound, colours unimaginable for eyes to behold,
Its beauty is wondrous, pleasure to all whether they are young or old.

Like the Lotus flower blooming, your beauty enchants me from so far,
It is what is within that is important, if your heart is burning like a star,
You see what you want to see, so you must look deep into the heart,
And if you see what I can see, then our lives will be together never apart.

Have fun. banana

Great Sphinx of Giza

Great Sphinx of Giza.....................................

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Embedded image from another site

The Great Sphinx of Giza commonly referred to as the Sphinx of Giza or just Sphinx, is a limestone statue of a reclining or couchant sphinx (a mythical creature with a lion's body and a human head) that stands on the Giza Plateau on the west bank of the Nile in Giza, Egypt. The face of the Sphinx is generally believed to represent the face of the Pharaoh Khafra.

It is the largest monolith statue in the world, standing 73.5 metres (241 ft) long, 19.3 metres (63 ft) wide, and 20.22 m (66.34 ft) high. It is the oldest known monumental sculpture, and is commonly believed to have been built by ancient Egyptians of the Old Kingdom during the reign of the Pharaoh Khafra (c. 2558–2532 BC)

Mythology
Colin Reader has proposed that the Sphinx was probably the focus of solar worship in the Early Dynastic Period, before the Giza Plateau became a necropolis in the Old Kingdom (c. 2686–2134 BC). He ties this in with his conclusions that the Sphinx, the Sphinx temple, the Causeway and the Khafra mortuary temple are all part of a complex which predates Dynasty IV (c. 2613–2494 BC). The lion has long been a symbol associated with the sun in ancient Near Eastern civilizations. Images depicting the Egyptian king in the form of a lion smiting his enemies date as far back as the Early Dynastic Period.

In the New Kingdom, the Sphinx became more specifically associated with the god Hor-em-akhet (Hellenized: Harmachis) or "Horus-at-the-Horizon", which represented the pharaoh in his role as the Shesep-ankh (English: Living Image) of the god Atum. Pharaoh Amenhotep II (1427–1401 or 1397 BC) built a temple to the north east of the Sphinx nearly 1000 years after its construction, and dedicated it to the cult of Hor-em-akhet.

I did some research, and read some books on Egypt in my past, the pyramids, culture and Sphinx.(Robert Bauval & Graham Hancock)

If u r interested in the early Egyptian culture and civilisation, gods and goddesses, please comment?
